We found a can of energy drink called "Big Pump" in the back of my brothers cupboard. We had it with some vodka as it was only 6 years out of date. Unsurprisingly it was fine.

Well that's not very nice

After mass expulsions and ending up on a drip a couple of times, I can be a tad wary and cautious with dates etc.

I do not want to watch Gav turn himself inside out on national TV. :?

But congrats! That's a big deal!

8-) Will ask the wife to record that, nicely done Gavster

Use by dates are just a reflection of your level of risk, if you aren’t prepared to do a taste test on a 2 month old yoghurt, are you even worth being alive ?

Dave!

Hey, remember when that Gav food bloke off the tellybox used to post on the forum?

Thanks, guys. I hope you enjoy it! I'm the entertainment factor, so there's nothing too serious from me. The science and policy stuff about sell-by dates should be quite interesting.

I've set that to record. Even on a proper channel - it's a long time since the early days of Ch5 with Newsy Bunny and topless darts

Will.be watching and hopefully get my daughter to watch too as she's a bit date concerned. Reminds me I'll post my mix link in the bucket thread as until then I've just been talking bs.

I had Gav on the big telly in the hallway. It was mildly alarming!

You came across well and at no point looked mental.

I thought that was a good segment. Sadly a lot of the programme was a bit basic (the food scientist chap is irksome) but it gave you an opportunity. Here’s to more!

Watched this on catch-up too. Some of the science was interesting, but in general (with inevitable bias) I found your bits the most interesting/entertaining.

The lady narrating brought a distinct Eurotrash vibe, and I wasn’t totally convinced by the premise for the show (ie is current labelling really incredibly complex and confusing?)

History lesson and overarching message was good though, and great exposure for you on a more mainstream media 8-)

Cheers guys 😎 it was a bit slow at the start and I honestly didn't realise it was 60 mins so was wondering if they were going to show my stuff at all 😂 you never know how things will be edited with TV, sometimes people film for a whole day and then only use 15 seconds.

Also @mik good spot that's hilarious  gonna have to register on IMDB to claim my place on that show too!

Channeling @Gavster I've just done my bit to avoid the confusing best before dates!

Have made a lasagne for dinner and thought to check the date on the box the lasagne sheets came in. Best before 09/2019

They're in the oven, so too late to do anything.
