That's lovely!
As much as I like the 335d I do miss a big petrol!

How come we are on page 3 and still no emergency start video?
Get it fixed.
Apologies for delay.
As it turns out, given the horrendous weather when I picked up (and in fact test drove) the car the performance felt more than ample initially, but this wasn’t to be the full story.
However, I discovered buried the settings an HP and Torque meter. When at full throttle it showed peak power being 320hp and torque at 360nm (I.e. 150hp and 300nm down). No CEL or other dash warnings however. Odd.
A quick call to Mercedes Benz assistance diagnosed the issue as a stuck exhaust valve, meaning the car automatically restricts power (without telling you) so as to avoid the ability for any damage to be caused.
Part replaced under warranty today, and…
What an animal. 60-100 on private test track comes in at 4.8-4.9 I’d say. Further bonus that it’s even louder now the valves are working properly.
Have also ditched the Cup2s in favour of PSSs on the front, as I’d quite like to be able to actually steer the car left and right in the winter months. Little things continue to impress me, in particular the Matrix LED headlights. Complete witchcraft how they constantly adapt to oncoming traffic. More importantly they make a laser like lattice on start up that makes me go “Pew Pew”.

Matrix headlights on Mrs mik’s e-tron are amazing. Amusing when it is ever-so-slightly misty and you can really clearly see them at work. Voodoo.
Had it out for a quick blast today for the first time in a month or so to charge the battery. Still completely love it, in spite of it trying to kill me when I was up north a month or so ago. Turns out Cup2s aren’t great with standing water.
Driving back to back with the Merc really flatters it. It’s definitely quicker and also rides better than the C63, feeling both more tied down yet more supple at the same time. Sounds better from in the cabin too.
It’s due a service in a few weeks, and once that’s done I don’t think it’ll be seeing much action until the spring.

Interesting that it rides better, I know Lotus are the masters at it, but I would still have guessed that in its softest setting the Merc would ride better.
In terms of a two car garage it's good that the Lotus still has a good edge though, you don't want to be in a position where performance is not a motivation to open up that garage on a nice day!
