My 1993 Corrado was Midnight Blue Pearl Effect - from memory there were three or four blues in the standard colour palette at the time. Everyone always thought that was black too.

Just found this list of Corrado colours: http://www.corradog60.co.uk/guides/pain ... -codes.php - a lot of different blues over the years.

ETA: since I see Moonlight Blue in that list as well I googled to find the differences. Seems to be a different paint code and while I was absolutely certain I was informed my own Corrado was Midnight Blue Pearl, it's over 21 years since I sold it and there's no way of checking the paint code now. Anyway, it was very dark blue and looked similar to this: https://www.vwvortex.com/threads/new-co ... 5.5430461/ - which the owner says is Moonlight Blue, though someone commenting queries whether it's Midnight. So I can't conclusively say whether it has the same name or not as my Audi colour; I can say they're both very dark blue, almost black, but the Audi is a slightly lighter shade overall I think. The Corrado colour looked almost inky.

It’s great back then VW offered such a variety of colours.

Now you have a choice of 3 on the Golf R :|

Blackberry is still my favourite VW colour.

Why did you go for the Allroad over a normal A6 Jobbo? Is it purely aesthetics or does it ride better and come with better options?

Always liked the Allroad - I had a Black Edition A6 as a courtesy car when I had my previous Allroad serviced and it just reinforced the feeling because it was a bit showy and not very me. The Allroad also only comes with the 3.0 V6 diesel, air suspension, quattro and estate body, so yes, it does ride better. It also doesn't attract boy racers but instead buyers like Prince Charles

I doubt I'll take it down any notable green lanes, but it's nice to know it has some ability there. Has hill descent control and quite high ground clearance in the highest mode.

Good going over lockdowns etc, I've done about 6000 miles since then.

Congrats on getting back in one of your faves. Looks ace.
