Bootiful. Even in DCR.
And yet still not a bootiful as the LP 400 periscopio. This is very much a car that was right first time - no wings, no arch extensions, no mirrors, no tacked on big side repeaters (but a lowered seat frame so that I could fit please):

It's a shame both variations have squared off arches. It's a criminal sin in car design.

Like the yellow one more, so much cleaner.

Everyone is watching Hoovies' videos on his double-buy Countach and Diablo, yes?
Yes.
If you could only keep one, which one would you keep? I'd take the Diablo all day, every day.
Countach for me. Even though it’s a white anniversary it’s way more desirable to me than any Diablo

The signature of Marcello Gandini - you heathen.

The big side reflectors were a foreign market thing, euro spec cars wouldn’t have got them.
But still, given the choice it would be the pure early slim bodied car for me in a proper 70s colour like lime green, orange or yellow.
The factory should have refused to sell one in such a dull drab colour as the car at the start of the thread. Aside from a tacky wrap I’m struggling to think of a worse colour for one.

Really? Don’t think that many of his cars have them.

Diablo, 90s quattroporte, Ghibli, Citroen bx

I like the 90’s Quatroporte and Espada as the rear wheels are like that to help aerodynamics and it looks pretty cool when the arch cuts into the tyre. Then again that is more similar to a less extreme version of the Citroen DS which is a Bertoni design.
Not a fan of it otherwise as done with the Countach or whatever else. At least Gandini got it right with the Miura and Stratos.

The straits concept had it, I bet the road car would have if it wasn’t supposed to be a rally car and need arch clearance

This one? Looks nothing like the final Stratos at all.

No. Wasn’t aware of it tbh.
@tim I was watching one of the vids like “yeah OK” and suddenly that tosser Schmee was round at his house for a visit.

I feel dirty.

A red Countach with Brigitte Nielsen from 1986 as a passenger. Stan Bush on the pioneer radio cassette with graphic equaliser and I’ve got to get from Calais to Trieste for a dinner reservation
You will never be as cool in a Diablo playing Cosmic Girl.
Dave!

I'll take 1995, Diablo, Liz Hurley and Definitely Maybe over that any day... not interested in dinner, would rather make it to Italy and have the breakfast of champions.

I don't know who Stan Bush is, but otherwise - approved.

Daves! Countach has the impact bumpers, unfortunately he won't be getting any action with that carbuncle
