I remember the days when M&S didn't sell anything branded. Look what they've become

Tried this now. It is confusing to eat, I went from liking it to not being sure to liking it several times over the course of a slice of toast!Broccers wrote: Tue Nov 24, 2020 4:56 pm I really can't decide if I like this or not. On one hand it is fucking awful but it actually isn't that bad in the scheme of peanut butters.
Have you tried it, am I mad for even liking it a bit.

Try Bovril.Jobbo wrote: Sat Nov 28, 2020 6:52 pm I put some Marmite and some Whole Earth peanut butter on toast on Thursday. It wasn’t particularly nice. I’m not going to bother buying the ready-combined stuff.
Ah but you probs have butter mixed with your marmite which makes it nicer imo.duncs500 wrote: Sat Nov 28, 2020 9:28 amTried this now. On balance, it's inferior to just plain old Marmite on a piece of toast IMO.
Nope, not a fan of butter.Broccers wrote: Mon Nov 30, 2020 9:58 amAh but you probs have butter mixed with your marmite which makes it nicer imo.duncs500 wrote: Sat Nov 28, 2020 9:28 amTried this now. Vegemite, yes. Bovril, no thanks.
Might have to buy another jar to try that out as this is disappearing too quickly! The wife has decided she does like it afterall.duncs500 wrote: Sat Nov 28, 2020 8:42 pmShe might be on to something there, let me know how you get on!Swervin_Mervin wrote: Sat Nov 28, 2020 7:33 pm The wife wasn't sure but thinks it will work well in a satay sauce. I went to buy more too - they've put the price up from 2 quid to 2.40 in Tescos. It tastes of timber.Jobbo wrote: Tue Dec 01, 2020 8:29 pm Whole Earth organic is the best peanut butter but would be utterly useless to make satay.
I accidentally bought the organic Whole Earth and it’s even nicer. Fucking gorgeous stuff, just a bit priceyZedLeg wrote: Mon Dec 07, 2020 2:44 pm I love the whole earth organic Peanut Butter, I only buy it when it's on offer so it's a wee treat. The dark roast one is really good too.
Usually get the really big tub of the not organic whole earth crunchy. We go through a lot of peanut butter.
