Hopefully the pro footballers can manage to get up without a rail... before the game starts at least!Zonda_ wrote: Fri Jun 19, 2020 12:12 pm I’d only do it if there was a convenient hand rail to help me back up again!
Neither, they wanted to be seen to be doing the right thing before they ran horses down the middle of a city.V8Granite wrote: Fri Jun 19, 2020 1:03 pm There is a huge amount of peer pressure going on with this.
Do you think the police dropped a knee out of solidarity or to prevent a good kicking ?
Dave!
So they did it because they were told to due to mounting pressure.ZedLeg wrote: Fri Jun 19, 2020 1:09 pmNeither, they wanted to be seen to be doing the right thing before they ran horses down the middle of a city.V8Granite wrote: Fri Jun 19, 2020 1:03 pm There is a huge amount of peer pressure going on with this.

There’s no evidence for that.V8Granite wrote: Fri Jun 19, 2020 1:44 pmSo they did it because they were told to due to mounting pressure.ZedLeg wrote: Fri Jun 19, 2020 1:09 pmNeither, they wanted to be seen to be doing the right thing before they ran horses down the middle of a city.V8Granite wrote: Fri Jun 19, 2020 1:03 pm There is a huge amount of peer pressure going on with this.

So the Police can’t be for equality, but against rioting, looting, flag burning and attacks on war memorials etc? Taking the knee has to mean you’re up for all that too?ZedLeg wrote: Fri Jun 19, 2020 1:09 pmNeither, they wanted to be seen to be doing the right thing before they ran horses down the middle of a city.V8Granite wrote: Fri Jun 19, 2020 1:03 pm There is a huge amount of peer pressure going on with this.

There’s no evidence for your interpretation either.
The police’s response to the blm protests have been over the top imo. I can’t find any reporting of looting, it was a tiny minority of the protestors that caused trouble and it was just some paint.mik wrote: Fri Jun 19, 2020 2:44 pmSo the Police can’t be for equality, but against rioting, looting, flag burning and attacks on war memorials etc? You’re confusing the BLM protests with the opportunistic parasites who use it as an excuse to riot.
I'm confusing nothing. Have a word with yourself.Orange Cola wrote: Fri Jun 19, 2020 10:50 pmYou’re confusing the BLM protests with the opportunistic parasites who use it as an excuse to riot.
