They both sound alright to be fair, like some kind of junk food/curry mashup. As long as for the latter you mean a pizza made with naan bread as the base, not just a whole pizza stuffed inside a naan.

The former...
To be fair, the normal stuff, Jalfrezi, Madras etc were very good

I had a Thai curry last night
Very good.
Need to find somewhere that sells plantains so I can recreate that deep fried coconut batter plantain dessert and binge on it over the weekend.
Also does anyone know how to make nice grilled squid at home? I’m tried a few times and end up with something akin to a Pirelli P6000 tyre.

In the words of Raymond Blanc - cook for either for 1min or 1hr, no more no less

Hmm perhaps I’ll try the 1 hour method as the 1 minute one was closer to sushi.
I reckon the restaurants I go to must cook it for an hour then deep fry or grill it just before serving

Was brought by friends to Chatkhara in Tooting SW London this evening.... Similar to the one above it's a place I wouldn't normally go into based on how it looks, but it was honestly the best curry that I've had in a couple of years and it worked out at £6.50 each!

I've had some very good results from here:
Did the basic chicken curry yesterday. Took a while to do the sauce - man, that uses a lot of garlic! - but I now have 5 portions of it left for another day. Very nice curry - exactly as you'd get in a restaurant. Impressed. I made the naan as well, which came out better than I thought it would when I put it in the oven, as the dough was very sticky.

I'm in Aberdeen this week, anywhere offering a decent curry around there?

The sauce took nearly a couple of hours including all the chopping and blending, and I cooked the chicken at the same time as this. Then adding it all together took another 15 mins.
As I said, I have a few portions of the sauce left so using that it should be half an hour or so all in, once the sauce has defrosted.

Forgot a couple
Manchester City Centre - Rajdoot, This & That, and Dishoom as previously mentioned. This and That is brilliant, old school, simple curry. Menu varies daily, but always the same every week and there's only a few dishes on offer.
Sussex - Elmer Tandoori in Elmer. One of the best curry houses I've ever been to. Been a couple of times when staying in Elmer to do Goodwood, albeit a few years ago now. A couple we stay with even have friends that drive 45mins to Elmer to go to this place. It's also insanely cheap - as in you'll be sure they've missed several things off the bill. I had a lime chilli chicken or something the 1st time I visited, which was amazing. 2nd time it wasn't on the menu but when I asked they cooked it for me anyway 8). Don't expect a fine interior or matching cutlery, but that's part of the charm.

Just had chips and curry at Pizza Corolla in Weegieland and they were bloody lovely. The lady fires salt on like a cardiac assassin though!

Went to Döner Haus again earlier (pre being pissed) and it was great. Curry wurst and chicken shawarma, washed down with Bitburger. Yummy!
Doner Haus is amazing.
So is a pizza crunch, one of the only things I miss since I stopped eating dairy

.

Fantastic
Likewise - do the sauce in bulk and then portion up for the freezer.

Same as Jon's basic curry, absolutely fabulous.
Genuinely as good as my local takeaway for a similar dish but it's a lot of work which ended up being over 2 evenings.
