Not that I don't believe you, but I had to go and check.
27cm longer / 22cm wider than a D4 too....

dumb. why does it need to be so long? i though electric cars meant they can package it however they like with a skateboard type architecture - why does it need a massive long bonnet?

I’ve seen a few around town in various colours. Black seems to be the best.
They look just like a Nissan/Kia/Hyundai to me which wouldn’t be so bad if they weren’t asking £90k for them.
The 90k is the big problem. Want a coupe style electric suv with a sporting name attached? The Nissan Ariya Nismo comes out soon, and although it doesn’t have 900 odd hp at £57k it’s cheaper by a whole second weekend car

Not a spotted by me, but sent to me randomly via instagram today.
Second time someone's done that in the last few weeks.

Have they released any sales figures for the Eletre? I wonder what their aspirations were for sales in the first place.

Wonder how much it'll go for? Despite being a 7 character plate I prefer that to D4KYR.

I'll bet 2-3K and then it'll immediately be on resale sites for 5-6K.

That Range Rover is nice. Usually when you see military plates on civvie cars it’s a shitey Vauxhall or something
Seen a few new shape Ranger Raptors now and they look great. Really looks like a mini F-150 and it comes with a Petrol V6.

That's not a military plate, it's a pre-1973 silver on black plate which the car doesn't quality for. Harry Metcalfe has one on his XJ-C and it annoys me; I think they look shit on cars which aren't old enough to qualify for them.
DVLA guidance here:
https://insidedvla.blog.gov.uk/2015/11/ ... er-plates/
ETA: reading that it appears the right to display black and silver plates followed historic status, with a rolling 40 year cut-off. And it turns out that was true, an unintended consequence, but that was corrected in 2020. Any pre-1980 car can still qualify:
https://www.mgcc.co.uk/dvla-release-new ... er-plates/
Harry's XJ-C probably does qualify then, but that Range Rover doesn't.

Yes I think only 3-dr Suffix As are eligible.
Not as annoying as the lumpen looking back boxes many of these are fitted with then the old one has rotten through.
Should look much closer to the below:

I didn't realise until checking the exact cut-off date that it had moved - see my edit. Though that one is a 1991 car, there will be some 5-dr RRs that qualify.

I did think it was more likely that it was just a private plate after I posted. I figured someone would correct me

I didn’t notice that until you pointed it out. You’re 10,000% correct.

GG is indeed correct - I've seen so many with that awful sticking out exhaust now, I'd forgotten how it should look.

A burgundy Sierra Sapphire RS Cosworth in Ascot.. did a 3 point turn as I was walking my dog. Turbot noises were especially noticeable/cool
