I like how the camera can't even decide if it's green or yellow, it's that bright 8-)

Excellent post Ste 8-) .

The colour is bonkers. Does it look more yellow in shade or is there weird colour balance in a couple of shots?

Rubbish.

It is yellow!

Imagine a high-vis vest, it's essentially like one of those. It's fluorescent / high-vis / dayglo yellow. The paint is a white base coat and it then has the dayglow tint over it and then a UV resistant lacquer.

...but yes the camera doesn't know what to do with it and it fucks the colour balance of the pics up completely.

Ah right, I thought maybe a yellow base and bright green over the top because it looks quite green in the pictures.

Looks ace anyway.

Yeah he's never really been a petrolhead but is into tech and engineering. He had his application accepted to be on a Greenpower race team and he's been helping to build an electric racecar and recently completed his first drive of it at a test day at Dunsfold. He's now going to be racing it at Goodwood next month. That's got him interested more in the engineering, so he's become much keener to help and learn how stuff works.

...and to be clear, I was at work for that whole week too. I just gave up unimportant stuff like sleep and eating to fit the car build in.

Looks great Ste.

I can’t help but think you could have put a bit more effort into the detail though.

Also your write ups are a bit vague and lacking.

Driveshaft replaced on the Scoob, still got clunks. It's probably rear shock knock translating through the car TADTS but you can homebrew a fix so I will have a go at this as soon as I get chance.
Had my excess paid yesterday so the third parties insurers have accepted responsibility 100% and I now have a clear record again.
Funds are now available for the remap and exhaust fitting so that will be done next week I hope.

Carl.

I want to drive it a bit first and see what i really think of it. Actually have the option to do Brands Hatch this evening bjut it's probably too loud and I'm struggling to get out of work.

But the plan is to get some trackdays in and then evaluate what I think. WIll either develop it a bit or get a Lotus. Although since putting this back togetehr I've been looking at Caterham racecars quite a lot...
