Excellent. This episode re-ignited my interest in project Binky. I'd got a little bored with all of the endless fabrication solutions, as beautifully engineered as they were.

They said on Twitter that there's probably 6 or so more episodes to go.

Very impressive, the hours of masking work gets a seemingly negligible spray and turns out stunning.

Got round to watching last night, loved that painting it got such a good amount of airtime. Way too many restorations are shown with a shell and parts heading off then a glossy immaculate car comes back without showing how much effort goes into it.
The detail of those logos though - amazing stuff.

It wasn't the colour I was expecting, but it did turn out amazing. I really liked how subtle logos were done. Only being visible in certain lighting conditions and from certain angles was a nice touch.

Really enjoyed that episode last night. Good to see the prep work as well. Albeit, if you watch Retropower's vids you also get some insight into the level of prep that each shell goes through once it gets to the paint shop. And I have to say, having watched the Binky vid, Retropower's prep seems all the more incredible now!
I particularly like RP's prep in terms of the zinc coating, and then the underbody treatment. I think the specifics of it all are detailed most in nthe Gordon Murray Escort series, but the also go into it a little in the Project Utah series.

I've been liking the videos that go into paint prep a bit more. I think the amount of prep that goes into a decent paint job is often forgotten in restoration diaries as it's passed on to someone outside the project, but I enjoy seeing it as someone who spent hours with a sanding block in my hand as a kid

.

I suppose it's because sanding is about as fun to watch as it is to do!

Well yes, but it's matters of degrees when you're talking about content this nerdy
It's all pretty boring to most people.

I just ordered another BOM t-shirt and long-sleeved top.
