It's also, as I've been learning when comparing some classes of car to each other twenty years apart, not that far from inflation. IE a Sunny GTI-R, a similarly 'complex' car, was £20k or so in 2000. Today that'd be near £37k.

its for all 3, you have to choose. If selected in 2 weeks time, they will then require a refundable £1000 deposit.

Unless Im missing something, it's a £20k body kit, or a £2k body kit and £18k of exclusivity.

Today? I think about, well, a quick google suggests £15-20k.
And I do mean quick, for cars of that vintage and that rarity, I'm not sure if there's really an 'average' price?

Not the £50k+ you’d expect of a rally homologation special though. More like the price of an Impreza, but rarer.

I joined the ballot earlier in the year and lost out, I wasnt really bothered at the time. Ive just discovered an cancelled order is up for grabs and seriously thinning about it now.

Not sure I could tolerate that dashboard in all honesty.
I think I'd just save a packet and buy the previous generation, then get the seat lowering kit.

A Golf R is £44k now so I don't think they look expensive at similar money!
Definitely a car I'd like to own and if Toyota still offer strong residual values on them why not?

I don’t think the list price looks mad in context - it’s the first editions which are the only ones available initially which look like price gouging at over £50k.

Bang £20k into an inflation calculator for 2001 (about the price of a WRX back then) and the 2024 price for that is about £36k.
