Targa Tasmania is back after 3 years in the *ahem* wilderness after a number of deaths and a falling out with Australia's main motorsport body.

Whilst the rules seem to have been made stricter and speed limits imposed the fact the lead three cars are a R35 GTR, an Exige V6 and a Viper ACR is encouraging.

There are 3 min highlight videos from each of the 5 days so far.

Day3 (check out the short but cool drone shot at 0:34 of the Lotus)

On a similar note, a 900hp RS200 tearing itself to pieces at Shelsley Walsh

Going back down the hill at the end looked like a walk of shame for the RS200

Some nice no-commentary footage here. Particularly if you are a Manta fan (does that make you a Fanta? :? ) <cough @scotta >

I have a driving day booked in Wales in June which feels a long way off right now, enjoyed watching this.

I don't know if watching something like that would ease the want of a road trip or make it worse. It's raining here atm - like a little bit of Wales at home.

Kwikfit making driving videos?

And it's a very odd mix of cars. Rowbottom stating he's in the "best product for this type of road" isn't even true across those three cars, let alone anything else. Also, him saying to Polly "you'll recognise those dulcet tones as soon as she opened her pie-hole" smooth. Then you've also got Kidd holding the wheel one-handed in positions that would make Mik cry...but she was in a lardy SUV in Wales so maybe she's already given up  still amazes me you're allowed walkie-talkies but not phones.

I see Mat Armstrong's latest build (M3 Comp) is likely a cloned car. There's various vids around now explaining how and why and a comment from someone under the vid that explains why.

The west coast of Tassie is fantastic driving roads - all immaculately tarmacked too, presumably for/due to Targa.
Got the boat over, stopped at Cradle Mountain for a couple of nights then due west and down to Queenstown, east and down to New Norfolk and back to civilisation of Hobart. Just had 4 new PS4s fitted too - amazing drive 8-)
