I expect most of us broke the covid rules at some point or other, just like most of us break the speed limit too. But the fact is, if we get caught breaking the speed limit we accept the penalty, and if someone who campaigns for covid rules/speed limits gets caught breaking them (or in this case the actual people who decided the covid rules) then they need to accept that the penalty will be accompanied by headlines and questions if they are suitable for their job.

If he broke the rules he needs to accept it. His answers this week have been evasive.
But Starmer didn’t write the rules, unlike Boris

he voted "aye" for it though.

What I really hope is that he gets done, refuses to resign, and we can rest easy knowing that they are all as hypocritical as each other.
If Starmer does resign he will be proving he's the better man... unfortunately he won't then be able to use that credit to his advantage at the ballot box!
I don't really buy that he didn't write the rules, I'm sure you could spend all day playing clips of him saying the rules should be stricter, agreeing with them, voting for them etc, or just play the ones where he tells everyone how much of a bad man the Boris is. Either way, it's not a good look.

He has also been shouting at the rooftops about the rules too. As bad as each other.

This isn’t really about him breaking the rules or not…
It’s about his publicly clamouring for Boris’s head at a time he knew he had done similar.
It’s stupid at best but staggeringly arrogant at worst.

So, do we think this is protest voting, or just shit local policies, given that most conservatives you see being interviewed.... Well, anywhere, seen to have no idea about what's going on in the UK right now in terms of cost of living and actual local issues?
I didn't even get a conservative flyer through my door, and it's not like my area is a labour stronghold, it's like they weren't even trying

Greens did well here. Labour lost a seat. Tells you all you need to know if hard core lefties are still not wanting them in power. That's how shit they are.

I think hard core lefties need to take a chill pill. The rest of us normal lefties could take labour, if for no other reason than to give the Tory cunts a good fucking drubbing.

Nope, but I regret not doing so. More fool me I suppose.

as well he should - there's a world of difference between a premediated curry and beer party and a group of people, unprompted, interrupting your lunch to wish you happy birthday.

The police have said that it will take 6 detectives unto 6 weeks to investigate this, can only imagine the resources that has gone into the breaches at number 10. Poirot would have sorted it in an afternoon.

It’s a lot less than the team I worked with all together during lockdown.
