Judging by how badly stained the front seats are, I’m glad no one has taken a black light in there!

It's already got a 205 block in it...but I disagree, it'd be a waste of a YB. For sure it needs more grunt though - and I'd want 4wd - but I'd probably prefer a Jaaag V6 in it. I don't know if I'd want to vmax it 'pon the 'bahn, or if I would but know it would be unpleasant.

You'd need to start slaving away on it now to have it ready. How much adventure do you want?

If you like the idea but not the hassle of getting it up to scratch, how about this; https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/it ... =undefined

Yes! Do it! :D
(I meant you don't want to make things more interesting by picking it up and going straight to the ferry :lol: ).

Assuming you won't take the Defender, here're some other ideas;

I’ve given this quite limited thought but I wouldn’t want to strip and properly convert my own car for such a short term trip, however retrofitting a webasto heater, removing the rear seats and chucking in a sleeping bag could be possible for the odd overnight layover in more remote areas.
If something already converted comes up for a cheap price it would be more convenient.

Interesting - although Ste never appears to hold onto his cars very long.

Even at £8,500 I doubt he's making a profit on that - he's done quite a bit of work to it hasn't he? The bare-metal respray would consume a large part of that asking price if it's been done well.

ETA I prefer it on the original Porsche alloys:

Rear wheels look wrong on the Porsche. It looks broken rather than stanced.

He’s had it more than a year which is quite a long while for Ste!

The vw is for sale too Zed 😉

Istr them being listed months back so he may have had for under a year then. Both now sold, so the question is...Zed?
