The desire to ride a bike hasn't gone away and I keep coming back to it, wife is now less objectionable to it than she previously was and I think it is going to happen. Nervous at the idea of failing though, TBH. Sounds daft and also a little lazy but part of me wonders whether I can dedicate the time to do it properly. So silly question time perhaps - with regards to the theory, is it mostly common sense? The CBT wasn't too taxing IIRC, but there was nobody appraising to the same degree if that makes sense.
It is mostly common sense, yes. I scraped through with 45/50 on the online practice test, with only a skim read of the Highway code.
There seems to be alot of questions about applying first aid and a disproportionate amount about trams (isn't there only about three cities wth trams in the UK!?!) And a few other things which I found a bit irrelevant. With that in mind, I think it is worth getting yourself up to scratch and downloading the official app.
I'm too tight and borrowed the books from my local library!

Je ne suis pas un motard, but one of these rode past a few minutes ago, shining like new in the sun, and it stood out.

500cc triple 2 stroke. They don’t make ‘em like that anymore.

Mudge and I were looking at one of these yesterday at a food stop - mainly ‘cos I initially assumed it was a 6cyl as it was utterly enormous. Do not want.

Really? Fooxache. Yeah - that is silly. It looked as nimble as a 4-bed semi.

I haven’t ridden one but they supposedly handle much better than they look, far better than any Harley.

aka half a car? Definitely better than one of those, I would have thought. I don't know if it's still true, but the old 1500 Goldwing went above the weight limit for motorbikes and had to be taxed as a car if you ordered the "right" set of options.

I know you've lost the love for Moto Dave but it's only $100 to subscribe and its massively worth it. It's pretty much guaranteed tremendous entertainment every other weekend.
