Car took over £100 of V-Power yesterday.. I remember the last time fuel was rationed, flying is (was) classed as critical workforce so ended up getting fuel with all the emergency vehicles. That was when my airport car a Cavalier 1.7TD - would feel a bit pish taking using M3 or similar though

Ukraine provinding drone assistance to help the gulf states win the drone warfare.

Trump has fucked up so badly with this war; he completely called it wrong. He thought he could do another Venezuela. I don't think he can win this one easily, he'll probably announce that he's going to nuke Iran before doing his usual Taco manouvre.

Apparently Iran released this animation, which is hilarious if true

Filled up the Skoda at the weekend. No SUL at my usual Tesco on the A34, and no diesel either!
Will take the 330 to work tomorrow and hopefully there's still be some UL left for me to brim that.

Damn I might need to go and fill up. Almost on empty right now and don't need the car this week, but it could be chaos nearer the bank holiday

The Iranian trolling is outstanding
Not looking forward to fuel chaos, as usual the media is helping create issues, telling people to fill up before the price rises, reporting shortages and queues which immediately gets everyone else buying some just incase.

I'm genuinely amazed that I've yet to see any queues, stockpiling or anything of the sort. Other than an occasional closed pump, it's been business as usual around my way. Always driven straight up to a pump - especially as the newspapers are very doom and gloom about whats happening.
I've been re-filling at 1/2 tank though, just in case to avoid leaving me high and dry if it does all kick off.

Feels like people just aren’t driving very much. Roads in and around London feel far less busy now. I suppose between the much greater adoption of EVs and WFH it’s a much lesser issue these days than last time around.

So much media bollocks creating issues.
Not much different around our way.

I haven’t noticed any issues in Cheltenham but I haven’t filled up since last week. Tesco ran out of diesel then two days later had no unleaded either, but that was about two weeks ago.
Just listened to Nick Ferrari tearing James Murray a new one on LBC, asking what the government are doing about it. Lots of European countries dropping fuel duty by 15% but we have a government ‘fuel finder’ website that can save us up to £40 a year.

Put some diesel in the Skoda yesterday - £1.79 per litre. It was £1.70 at the weekend. At this rate, it's going to be cheaper to daily the 928.

It's also Easter holidays for schools.

To be fair, if they drop the duty it won’t even bring it down to what it was 6 weeks ago, then it’ll be back up to where it is now in another few weeks, but there’ll be a big hole in the finances. Then there’ll be uproar when they put it back up.
Best we can do is sit it out and see where it ends up - we got to £2 or more last time…

I'm afraid I'm reluctantly aligned with that. And I can see how the govt would struggle to make any decision on this when nobody (least of all Trump) can articulate the end-goal of this conflict, and therefore the point at which we might be able to define the incident as "over".

Needed to fuel up a couple of times this week. When I collected the puma at the weekend the petrol station there only had 95 petrol and diesel, yesterday when I picked up my wife from work (Tesco) they had momentum 99 and that was all

I’m sure the forecasted £8bn Government tax windfall from fuel duty over the next few months has nothing to do with their decisions… nope, nothing at all

That raises rather difficult questions about who is posting on his behalf, then.
Does he know? How far up his backside is the puppeteers hand? On who's orders was it Putin there?
