Interesting walk around some of the cars at the big classic auction at the NEC. I'd have the RS500, Metro van or Karmann Ghia

I saw that and went straight off to the classifieds. They're actually more reasonably priced than I expected, although the later S54 fetch much stronger money.

Looks great in the video sitting a little lower.

I'll watch that later 8-)

Just watch for the rear boot floor pulling itself apart at the seams.

Prices aren't too bad and I guess by today's standards, they're pretty simple cars to maintain.

Still remember trips into town with someone in the boot under the parcel cover. Definitely a 2+1 car.
Cheers,

Mike.

I was looking at the Z4 M Coupe a few nights ago which are reasonably priced but not sure if it’s special enough for a weekend car. Also they seem to have the worst leather in any BMW, even low mileage ones look thoroughly worn and baggy.

M coupe is very cool, but still look very expensive to me.

Especially when an M roadster is half the price. I know the coupe is a lot cooler and probably a lot better to drive, it still seems hard to justify in my head.

Shame it’s a jayemmmmm vid so I won’t watch it.

I followed a Z4 Coupe (the 3.0Si version not the M) this morning and it still looks stunning. Way preferable to the Z3 MCoupe to me.

I hate older convertibles, fabric tops usually look knackered and expensive to repair, the mechanisms like to go wrong, they like to leak, tear, go mouldy. The endless chase for curing wind noise. And that’s all before you get to the dynamic problems.

Completely agree. And the Z3M prices are starting to get into the silly bracket from what I've seen recently.

Z4's are about to go up in value - M539's latest project is a Z4M Roadster. Watch demand soar.

This looked like a nice one that I saw recently on IG;
