Re: Harry’s Garage
I could VERY easily believe the C-HR, RAV4 and Urus we’re all part of the same Toyota range if no one told me one of them was a Lamborghini! I doubt that was the intention!

Re: Harry’s Garage
Got bored, too much hooning around a field..
Re: Harry’s Garage
It looks MUCH more like a squished RAV-4 than that other Toyota thing.
Re: Harry’s Garage
Tried watching this last night and got bored before the end. He clearly really likes the car a lot but it's not for me.
An absolute unit
Re: Harry’s Garage
This is growing in me, I still really hate the wing as it just looks like a cheap afterthought, like the M3 GTS.
It looks verybtaught and solid, like there is no available space for any more engine or drivetrain, I like that.
Dave!

Re: Harry’s Garage
Rear wings designed like that don't really work (aesthetically) on road-based saloons, do they?
Oui, je suis un motard.
Re: Harry’s Garage
Definitely not, when you see something like a CSl (you may need to google that Marv, rare old car) and see how well it works then seeing a big slab of a wing looks like an after thought or like lazy engineering.Marv wrote: Wed Feb 13, 2019 10:17 am Rear wings designed like that don't really work (aesthetically) on road-based saloons, do they?

Re: Harry’s Garage
It’s bizarre isn’t it, they just look ridiculous and like some Max Power special you’d see stuck on a Corsa. Presumably its down to cost as they can just knock one up and bolt it on, but I’d love to know what the alternatives were and how much downforce they generate.
Is Harry still a consultant for SVO? Or did I imagine that he ever was.

Re: Harry’s Garage
Wings like that are just a last resort to add extra (dirty) downforce. Considering how under-utilised the rear of the car is and the fact that they went to the trouble of designing a custom rear bumper for it I’m surprised they didn’t stick an effective diffuser on with a small boot lip spoiler to do the same job much more efficiently. I’d still buy a used one once they’re circa £20k though

How about not having a sig at all?

I really like it, wing and all. Looks twatty, sounds twatty. Admittedly it looks better without it, like the F Type wing...

Re: Harry’s Garage
I hate the wing ( and the m3 versions too )
Because they always look a bit too much of a halfway house. To small to be of any real aero benefit or look motorsport, too big and stuck on to be subtle or look pleasing to the eye.
Yes, I know that probably sounds a bit weird for someone with an old saloon with a pram handle on the back

Re: Harry’s Garage
They probably couldn't put a properly functional diffuser in without eating into the boot. Wouldn't want to lose the golf club space.Mito Man wrote: Wed Feb 13, 2019 10:54 am Wings like that are just a last resort to add extra (dirty) downforce. Re: Harry’s Garage
Looks like the sort of wing I used to put on my cars in Gran Turismo
Other than that, the car looks great.

Re: Harry’s Garage
It’s not just saloons that look better wingless:

And gold wheels. And make it RHD.Rich B wrote: Wed Feb 13, 2019 7:35 pm Lose the massive chavvy Leaper up the sides and stripes too please.
But apart from wanting to change so much of it, I quite like the Project 8.

Re: Harry’s Garage
it’s got wide arches and a big engine. That’s two major ticks from me.

And an auto box and 4wd, two further big ticks from me
