Will Blackham always had an excellent reputation on Seloc and not too far away in South Bucks.

Tough one, I drove 2 different NA 190 exiges to doncaster and back a couple of weeks ago and they're great cars, feel pretty special and look great. Engines are gutless though so they don't go as well as they look like they should. Slightly easier to get in and out of and a pretty bullet proof motor vs the s1 which is subjectively way more enjoyable to drive but older and more basic on the inside.
Depends if you want to have to try and explain to people what a great drivers car your elise is or you just want people to go 'wow thats a cool car'

Have I said how much I loved mine?

I haven't driven the NA, but I don't think I'd want less power than the S had.

Tasty spec.
I’d be budgeting for a black roof though

I linked this before...don't think Rich liked the colour. Shame, looks spot on otherwise.

If it’s in budget buy it immediately, it’ll be night and day better than anything else you could buy this side of 50 grand.

yeah, i’ve gone back and forth on that one a few times - it’s been advertised for ages. My concern was that it’s VERY modified and i don’t have time/inclination for constant fettling.
The colour doesn’t offend me.

I don’t really get the original s2 exige. It’s just like an Elise but you can’t take the roof off (easily) worse rear visibility and a silly looking spoiler.
The s1 I love, the later ones I like, but the ordinary s2, no thanks. I’m sure as usual that’s just me being a bit odd though

I’m entirely the same Harry. But then I also feel like that about the Cayman compared to the Boxster

No, I get it. The S1 Exige looked special. The S2 I wouldn't be able to tell the difference Elise/Exige unless I really thought about it.

Ha sorry!
The older I get the more I roll my eyes at the trend for people listing ‘mods’ on their car to include carpet mats and coloured valve caps, whereas your car is actually quite modified

As someone who's not an Elise guy I think that looks amazing proper head turner. Lot of car for not a lot of money
Still a nearly 150mph car with a sub 5 sec to 60 time so hardly slow lol

Think I prefer the black, personally.

Here's a picture of my old one, just so you can see what a correct colour looks like (Chrome Orange).
