Re: Daan Saaf OV9 Meet
Closet Ultima owner on the forum, nice! Glad you had a good one chaps, sorry I couldn't make it.
Send me links to cars for sale with throttle bodies.
Re: Daan Saaf OV9 Meet
Ultima guy isn’t on the forum. I talked to him next to a Ferrari 296 GTS - he was drinking a pint bottle of Old Mout before 11am then got in the Ultima and headed off
Re: Daan Saaf OV9 Meet
Great to see you guys again (or for the first time!) Need to ensure we manage it more than once every 3 years. Thanks also in absentia to @Sundayjumper for the attendance of the 360
@Gavster only had it on the lockstops a couple of times
If anyone wants a full size version of any of the photos just let me know and I can send to you.

Looks like great weather too
Re: Daan Saaf OV9 Meet
I feel for those without a roof and aircon today. My car said 29C when I got back in. So I turned up the seat ventilation.
Re: Daan Saaf OV9 Meet
Biggest question though, did anyone recognise Gavin off the telly?
Re: Daan Saaf OV9 Meet
He wasn’t carrying a camera on a stick around so I don’t think any influencer fanboys spotted him.jamcg wrote: Sun May 24, 2026 4:51 pm Biggest question though, did anyone recognise Gavin off the telly?![]()
Re: Daan Saaf OV9 Meet
Did you park next to the Ultima to give your battleship some scale Jobbo?
Everyone’s cars looking

An absolute unit
Re: Daan Saaf OV9 Meet
No, there was a Caterham 620R there originally - he left and the Ultima parked up.
I did ask Harry to park his X5 next to me so my car didn’t look so big.

Great to see everyone and put some faces to old names
Nice run along the B660 and a decent pub for more chat and more food.
My first C&M experience and it was as friendly and chilled-out as I was hoping (the Petersfield one is only 35 mins from me so might have to pay it a visit)

Re: Daan Saaf OV9 Meet
He was! He wandered around the car park making all of us into content.
I have reviewed my dashcam footage and sadly it is not as exciting as living it was.
Hope everyone got home safe, and thanks @GG. for the great pics!
Re: Daan Saaf OV9 Meet
Never a truer statement. Something the yooooth of today would do well to learn. Hope you all had a great time, only slightly jealous you all got to go out and play in this weatherExplosive Newt wrote: Sun May 24, 2026 6:10 pm

Some very nice cars there and a shame I was working.. as I am also unable to attend the curry evening I just had an excellent one in Delhi in your honour! 40 odd degrees here today, which does seem to make curry taste even better
Cheers,

Lovely pics there GG, thanks for sharing
Was great to catch up with you all today, and to finally meet some of the forum legends who have managed to avoid me so far
I somehow feel we have unfinished business though, we need the trinity of purple cars on an ov9 meet!

My only sadness is being a bit too far back to really hear the voices of the cars. No matter the car, everyone could bloody move when the road allowed it!

Looks like a good day, and can't complain about the weather, that's for sure.
Kudos to whoever cleaned @MikeHunt's car, that is some shine

Re: Daan Saaf OV9 Meet
I hadn’t really intended doing the driving bit, but thought why not as I was already out, despite the distinctly non-evo choice of vehicle.
Still good fun hustling it along, although the brakes definitely wouldn’t have stood up to an oldschool wales run style meet
I had three very different sounding vehicles ahead, 4pot Elise, straight 6 csl and flat 6 Porsche. Very rare on the road to hear anything above my own, so today was a nice change.
Nice to put some more faces to names, and see some I haven’t seen for many years!
