The BoE raising interest rates and then saying that the UK will fall into a recession was a real no shit Sherlock moment. Then saying that inflation from energy prices was due to Russia so I’m not sure how raising interest rates in this country will affect Putin’s decision making.
Better hope the rest of Europe falls in the shit first.

The gap between petrol & diesel always narrows in the summer. Diesel is closely related to fuel oil and demand for that obviously drops off as the weather improves.

Well summer didn't last long; the 20p gap is back , and has been for at least this month (so I've been told, I hadn't bought any for weeks).
The smallest gap I saw was 16p but the prices high, the largest 20p. I got the cheapest diesel I knew of and the gap was 19p. Hopefully it isn't winter diesel yet.

22p difference at the Shell in Sandhurst right now, 161.9 / 183.9 but they’re usually the dearest around here, Tesco always a few pence cheaper.

My local Indy has UL at 154.9. local Shell 165.9. Blatant.
