Both appear to be well piloted.....
That Alpine is mightily impressive, I didn't realise they were Exige quick!

Yeah. Not sure of the tyres on each car, but the Alpine does seem to be able to get on the go-juice earlier in the corners I was chatting offline with @scotta and we were surprised the Exige (with 388bhp/tonne) isn't reeling in the A110R (with 273bhp/tonne) more on the straight bits.

Yup tyres, driver skill and that seven speed DSG would help to make up some of that power difference, maybe Alpine's horses are also a bit fitter and/or some cheeky remapping of that 1.8 turbot.
Looking at the Exige driver's arms on some of those long corners they are a bloody workout to drive!
Alpine has definitely climbed a few rungs on my cool wall.

Shame it’s all based on American models now.

True, but Oz isn't a big enough market to support Holden and a domestic Ford product line. With Toyota coming in, it should spice things up further.
And at least they're racing V8 RWD cars and not 4 pot FWD shopping cars.

The whole race is worth a watch.
I watch all the Supercars on Youtube. It's definitely my favourite race series.

I've been getting into NASCAR too. Once you get past the "they just turn left", there's some fairly nuanced racing going on.

Yeah, it’s more of a strategy game.
Drivers are fearless as well.
