Golf - in for first service. It appears VW supplying dealer has made an arse of setting the car up for the long life servicing plan even though that’s what it’s supposed to be on. Have asked dealer to switch to across to this so I don’t have to service again before handing it back. It’ll need new tyres soon. Otherwise, continues to be utterly dependable.
Mine too - car said I need servicing at 6 months and 3000 miles - vwfs told local dealer to shut the computer up so its on long life as it shouldve been. Hope they put the right oil in it

For you, this might seem strange.

On the flip side, I hate my nextbase dashcam.
It's so ugly and obvious I don't like leaving it attached unless I'm driving, which means most of the time I can't be bothered to fit it. Plus it records every pothole as an incident which saves that bit of film from being recorded over so the memory soon fills up.
Added to that, the app for wireless viewing is buggy as anything.
When I start using the m3 again I'll probably look for a more descreet and permenant front and rear setup.

I've got used to having it there tbh, and never bother removing it unless I'm leaving the car in a very public place for a long time. And it's got a 32gb card in it so I only tend to reformat every month or so, and haven't bothered with the viewing app so far either.

The car is now fixed so I decided to get a dash cam and went for the Nextbase 412 after researching a bit on the interweb. Simple setup (basically plug-n-play), records in HD (1440p or 1080p at 60 fps), GPS, can switch the speed recording off and less than 100 quid. Really happy with the quality of the videos, and I managed to route the cable quite neatly. The only downside right now is that I need to remember to unplug the power connection from the 12v power supply to avoid draining the car's battery. I've ordered a hardware kit so hopefully it'll switch off when I turn the engine off.
I have the same model and mine is still running off the cig lighter/power socket and auto shuts down after ten seconds when the power is switched off. Is your socket permanent live or something?
Good little camera though, picture is decent, sound recording likewise. Mine has only needed resetting once or twice in the two years I've had it too.
You're right Barry. I tested it this morning and it shutdowns after a few minutes after I've locked the car.

Step daughters new arrival means the cars have had to be shuffled further up the garden to squeeze the lupo in. Couple of little jobs to do on it and hopefully bung it on eBay and get rid next weekend.
Started the e36 m3 for the first time in about 3 months and it still sounds glorious

Shout if you want any more info. Happy to end the auction early for a sensible offer.

I don't suppose a grand is a sensible offer is it?

Not really, I wouldn't make any profit then.

I was having a look at 330D Msports (again, to throw suggestions at my bro to replace the C4) but they seem fairly rare so hopefully you'll get bidded up nicely.
Are those in the pictures, or are they the same as the M-sport?
Not being snippy, I just can't see the difference between mine and the ones pictured?

Yep, they're in the pictures. If you have an illuminated gearknob and the smaller, chunkier M3 steering wheel with the solid bottom spoke then yes, someone must have also fitted M3 bits to yours.

The Sport versions of the E46 got a pretty thick steering wheel rim with the solid spoke; this was the OE wheel on my 330i Sport Touring:
