Do we need to revise the dictionary definition for statesmanlike?

No, but the phrase 'Presidential' might need an update.

Got any links/sources for this story?
I can’t seem to find anything. As I said completely unverified, but have seen posts about it on threads, Facebook and Reddit. It’s probably nonsense, just at the moment it feels very believable

So you could just be starting the rumour here?

I'm not going to fall for it!

I read his then rumoured letter to Norway last night on social media. It seemed so stupid that I dismissed it but it’s on the news now

The Peace Prize (what he was after) is based out of Norway

Bang on. Trump is a bully (and a lot of other things) and bullies only respond to strength. Time to punch him in the balls.

Bang a 1000% export tax on all ARM holdings designs (owned by Softbank but still HQ'd in the UK and subject to our export laws).

Get Tim Apple to call him up screaming, it'll have more effect than any other actual politicians doing it.

Trump definitely understands the American need for military might and the American need to have the best fighter aircraft. Where does that aircraft come from? Weeeeeelllll

Looks like he pissed his pants and decided against most of the shit he was talking. Unrelated I had TACO Bell for dinner.

This announcement from Trump is bewildering given the last 24 hours.

We've gone from the brink of a potential military invasion to that being taken off the table, but not the tariffs... to now the tariffs being taken off the table and the "framework" of a future deal.

Some things are unclear - on what authority this deal is based and whether the Danish government are signed up to this. We don't have any kind of deal on paper.

On the face of it, people will say Trump has climbed down. He won't see it that way.

Trump says on Truth Social that there will be additional discussions on the Golden Dome - which Trump proposes will protect the US and Canada.

But this was never opposed by the Danish government who pretty much gave Trump a carte blanche to do what he wanted militarily.

The whole point for them was sovereignty and sovereignty is not mentioned anywhere in this post. We'll have to see how concrete this is over the coming hours and days.
Also:
Trump's wide-ranging speech, in which he appeared to confuse Greenland with Iceland four times, lasted more than an hour
Again, at what point does someone just take him out the back of the shed and Old Yeller the senile cunt?

I wonder how many of his close circle have been buying stock like mad in the last two days. Tomorrow will be a good day for them I expect.

There has to have been meetings behind closed doors where they discuss whether he can be neutralised, surely?

Sounds like nothing has happened apart from Rutte sucking him off and giving him a load of false assurances over which he has no authority. He is a Trump fanboy…

It would be refreshing if they just said "...however we're not going to spend time analysing the rantings of someone who is quite likely sundowning through Alzheimers, like his father. Did you know that when his father started becoming dangerously disconnected from reality, they made him a fake office and let him sign fake deals with fake countries? Anyway, next up, the weather"

K-K-Karoline is doing her best to get ratio'd on Xitter by claiming that Trump didn't say Iceland 3 times, and that he's just referring to the fact that Greenland is mostly Ice.

The YouTube clip functionality has been effectively DDOS'd with people clipping a segment of Trump referring to Iceland 3 times.

Oh, so he's not stupid, he just understands the world in a way that would be considered "requiring specialist educational intervention" for an eight year old?

Does she realise that is actually *worse* than him mixing them up?

She does realise that, right?

See also, B21 Raider, Gerald Ford, Arleigh Burke, M1Abrams etc etc etc. Defence procurement during the "peace dividend" very much optimsed in the West with global supply chains. BAE, Thales, Rheinmetal tech is everywhere in the US and in everything.

Whether the "Trump Dividend" will convince the rest of the world to exclude the US from defence purchases remains to be seen. I recon at the moment everyone is in senile de'nile and expecting he'll pop off at any moment and "sanity" will be restored...
