All this furore tells me is that RB are genuinely worried about Merc becoming more competitive and challenging them for this title, which is surprising because I thought this season was a done deal in truth after the previous few races.
There's definitely something going on. Red Bull are clearly throwing a lot into this year's car whereas pretty much everyone else is focused on next year. I wonder if there's a clause in Verstappen's contract about him winning a WDC or he can walk which would leave Red Bull in the position of losing their star driver and having a shit under-developed car for the upcoming season.
Seems plausible, but where would he go? Would any of the other top teams want to take him on?
Yeah, any harmony in a team would probably be broken by Max arriving!
Ferrari have LeClerc, McLaren have Norris, Merc presumably have Russell as their star of the future, so not sure where Max would fit in. Anything can happen, but I'd be surprised if Max did want to leave RBR as well. Though if their 2022 car is under par, then maybe he could use an exit clause.
I still don’t understand what Red Bull were trying to achieve by sending Albon out in a completely different F1 car to recreate Hamilton’s line. Anyhow it’s clear that Hamilton would have made the corner (if he were driving an old Red Bull…) otherwise we’d be hearing about Albon binning the car into the barriers by now

Maybe with all their sour grapes they be launching a new flavour of Red Bull?

Hamilton starting on his own on the grid was bizarre. Unbelievable that not one team had a scout on track and gambled on slicks during the red flag as well.
Still, a good race, fun seeing Ham and Alonso go toe to toe.

Hamilton looks like he needs some glucose! He’s trembling like an old man.

F2 driver/Williams reserve jack aitken was involved in a very huge and heavy crash at the spa 24hrs, has a broken collarbone and a fractured vertebrae. Accident is scarily similar to the f2 crash which took Antoine Huberts life.

Anyone else hear in Ocons post race interview that the team told him to pit for dry tyres during the Formation lap after the red flag. Thought that would be a penalty unless he worded it incorrectly.
