Zelensky still has time to see the memes, and still has his observational comedy chops.
Yesterday, Putin did a press conference where it was claimed he was green screened/chroma keyed in, because in a couple of sections, it looked like there were comping issues where he wasn't interacting with the scene, such as parts of the foreground disappearing when he put his hand near them.
To be clear, I think this is a compression artifact - the compression algorithm seeing two items of a similar shade, and not updating that part as that would use data unnecessarily - not green screen, but regardless, Zelensky saw this, and makes the point of proving he's not green screened.
Nicely done.

Ooh, Boris has a six point plan to sort the Ukraine issue!
1) NATO and the EU already doing this
2) See point 1
3) See point 1,
3a) we aren't sanctioning Russia as effectively as those in point 1
4) That's an sensitive internal issue for Ukraine post conflict, probably not best dealt with by a man who can't reliably tell you how many children he has.
4a) ... That's a bit rich given how much Russian money floats around Conservative HQ.
5) See point 1
6) see point 4a
So err, yeah, sure thing Boris. Tory MPs are calling this his 'Falklands moment'. Read into that what you will. I'm pretty sure Thatcher want getting funded by Argentina when she sent the Vulcan bombers in though.

That's Villanelle sitting one place away from Putin.
Can't be long now.

Does Johnson's six point plan involve telling 150 ukranian refugees at Calais to fuck off to Paris or Brussels to get the right paperwork?

About time to start looking up where the closest nearest nuclear bunkers are!

Given that the mildenhall airbase is approx 15 miles away I think I’d be dust pretty quickly and not really worth worrying about.

If they are volunteering, and not ordered, to go to the Ukraine foreign legion, then it doesn't count as NATO action - they are individuals who do not represent their member state.

I’m sure the famously level-headed Vlad will see the logic here

Would be nice if a few American B52 pilots “volunteered” to go take a look at that 40 mile convoy

Their whole plan does seem to have been based on the assumption that the Ukrainians would roll over at the first site of Russian troops and it would all have been done and dusted within a few days. I know you need to take Twitter stuff with a massive pinch of salt, but there does seem to be a lot of mounting evidence that they're struggling massively to keep troops moving and its only going to get worse.
I guess that's why they're resorting to just shelling the crap out of cities

In the first week of the war some analysts were saying Russia is just sending out their dated stuff and leaving the modern machinery and better soldiers at home for the second phase of the war.
This seems to counteract that, plus the fact that many Russian Majors and senior commanders are being captured/killed.

I’ve also read that the symbols relate to various military factions which does tally up when you see a picture of Russian equipment with a known location

Its incredible to see how isolated Russia have made themselves. Is any other country backing them 100%? Even China just seem to be keeping quiet and I see today that a senior Belarusian army commander has resigned over it.
So no wonder they're going full-on cold-war paranoia over it and locking down the news and social media in the country.

Tl:dr
The fsb were asked to analyse what would happen given the current situation and sanctions put in place. They were told it was all hypothetical, and were basically forced to give results where Russia come out smelling of roses
As you can see it hasn’t worked out like that so they’re fucked

A lot of the older generation in Russia don’t have the internet and will just lap up what they’re told. A large percentage will also be taken-in by whatever they’re told by state media. But surely there’s still going to be a large percentage of the population who are going to realise something is very much “up” with all of the social media platforms being blocked… foreign news coverage being blocked… credit cards just stopping working and daily “insert company name here” stopping selling to Russia. I just wonder what that tipping point is and how you get there?
