America.

Americans.

Social media.

It's the perfect storm where people will literally believe anything and even some of their news channels just report what's being said without any question.

It’s worse than that though, they’ll believe anything said to them by their online faves but anything that comes from actual experts is dismissed as “the elites telling us what to do”.

Actively anti intellectual, which is classically a form of authoritarian control.

That and an underfunded education system in the clutches of right-wing lunatics.

Saw a clip of someone arguing that the hurricanes were controlled by the government's weather machines, because why else would they only hit red districts/states? It was an attempt to stop people voting! To give the speaker their due, they made one factually correct statement that cannot be refuted: "I'm no expert, but...". Sadly they then kept talking.

Edit for context: it was in an interview by someone who asked the obvious "but, why?" questions, to which the mental void being interviewed had no answers, and yet they're permitted to vote...

That weather machine lie has been repeated by sitting senators btw.

I’d be curious as to who “they” are as she’s in government.

Not sure if it's the same clip you watched, but as Zed pointed out, Marge here has been pushing this. She's a member of Congress.

She's also talked about Jewish space lasers in the past.

She's a member of Congress.

And apparently you can’t drive it when it’s snowing.

This has been the same for every flat fronted headlight vehicle with LEDs. See G Wagon, Decender, Jinny etc.

With old style halogen it doesn’t happen, it’s why I still run old headlights on the Defender.

Yeah, it's annoying. These didn't exist when I bought my headlights but if they ever go out I'm replacing with this

Can be a problem on other cars, but the cyber truck lights are both recessed, low and very narrow as if they did no winter testing. Surely a flush giver or some sort of heating in icy conditions might have been a good idea?

Also seen reports that the very bright drl upper light bar shines a chunk of light upwards so in snow you get the double effect of both not being able to see where you’re going, AND the snow heading towards the windscreen being illuminated.

Yeah but that makes it seem spacey, 100 cyber points 😎

People say the Cybertruck can't offroad, but that one can't even get on the road from a snowy parking space, so it's offroading like fuck by default.
