X5 needed Adblue. 10L gives me 9000 miles.
I use Life360 to monitor the kids; it auto-linked to the M4 and gave me a route and eta to each kid on the satnav.

Also, it can display the current UK precipitation chart. Handy for RWD

Updates:
The Volvo's indicators are really bright. They make street signs light up - even on the opposite side of the car to the direction you're indicating.
One of the Glaucomas has died. Hit by a nanny who overtook my wife as she was indicating and slowing to turn right. She hit the front wheel so while there's damage to the wing, bumper and headlight, there's unknown mechanical damage too. This happened on Tuesday evening; this morning she has had an offer from her own insurer to pay out and write it off without even inspecting it, because the value is low and the cost of an inspector isn't worth it. Slightly concerning when it's a non-fault claim and we don't know if the other party's insurer is disputing anything but in the spirit of mitigating losses, we've accepted. So I get to go car shopping.

Ridiculous isn't it. The amount they've offered will replace it, but not cover the costs of travelling to Yorkshire or Blackburn where the only ones for sale are, nor make up for the fact that Flewy had checked it over and fixed things previously.

FWIW when my last Mondeo was written off it was probably worth about the same, but DL inspected it anyway and the inspector offered me £1130 as a settlement. I bit his arm off before he could change his mind.

Truck is in for a new Turbo today. Old one is worn out and howling like a banshee, but it's done 150k so not too shabby. It's also having a service, MOT and a pressure test as I think it's still losing a little water. I'll use it a bit for work when it comes back to keep the miles off the Scooby.
Turbo was a very reasonable £250 for a recon unit with 2 year warranty.
Carl.

Good run back from Wembley to York City centre yesterday and the M140i somehow managed a very frugal trip even though I hadn't been going steady.
Going to order some new rears today as the MPSS's are getting low and are lighting up all the time. PS4 this time methinks.

Cleaned (paid some foreigners) the family wagon today (first time it’s been cleaned since I last borrowed it from the Mrs some time in September).
It’s a damn good looking car imo, it had some paint protection stuff on it before we bought it so it always comes up well.
The only outstanding things it needs is a little parking prang repair on the front wing (insurance, not her fault) and I need to clear a gunked up washer fluid system - which is a common f31 issue.
