That is THE ugliest fucking vehicle i've ever seen!

I'd love to see who the designers are currently for BMW. I can only assume they are 19 year old Gen Zs whose only other design experience has been wall warts for electronic products.

I had a bloke in a very similar car pull out of Waitrose and cut me up as I was driving towards him.. honestly the weirdest thing I’ve seen as it seemed he was oblivious to other road users and slowly pulled out across my lane and into opposite direction traffic. I had to brake hard to avoid him and everyone else was on their horns.. absolute fvcking moron! 🤯

Eta: I don’t actually mind the shape or colour 😳

The black does a good job of hiding most of its features.

Oh, that's a BMW, I'd just forgotten it existed, and genuinely thought it was something Chinese channeling a crashed Suburban or something

I had family over from America recently and they had hired one of those giant BMW evs to drive.

It is huge and obnoxious, basically everything I hate about new evs. It’s a lovely place to be though

It’s not just a BMW. It’s a ground up M (I think in germany M is their abbreviation for Bullshit)

It’s THE ULTIMATE ELECTRIFIED M PERFORMANCE. DESIGNED TO THRILL. It underlines the ability of BMW M GmbH to break with established conventions and push boundaries in order to offer fans of the brand the ultimate driving experience. The series-production car – the first pure BMW M model since the legendary BMW M1

Taken from their online brochure.

The weird thing about it is all the reviews say the driving experience is really rather sub par compared to other M cars and the X5 M is a much better handling car.
And really that drivetrain should have been put in a mid engine chassis but I guess they wouldn’t sell many.
Feels like we’re at the cross over point now where brands no longer want to produce 4x4s to maintain a healthy cash flow to then reinvest that in interesting low slung cars. Profit matters more than anything else and it’s better to just reinvest that in shit like this.

Ah, so ///M as a brand/thing/mark of quality is now, after years of being an optional badge to slap on your 116i, finally entirely worthless and dead.

Good to know.

918 and a yellow LaFerrari Aperta drove past but no pic.. sadly there was no P1 to complete the Trilogy! Massive want for all three now tbh, more so than when they were released. 👌

lovely. The cheap number plate really doesn't work though.

Countach 25th - very awkward looking thing, moreso in real
life than in pictures, especially from the back. Still way cooler to see than modern Lamborghini's. I wondered if if was a kit car but no it's genuine - a bit of history of this one here https://supercarnostalgia.com/blog/lamb ... s-kla12958

Edit: also I forgot / couldn't be bothered to upload the photo of and Alpina Z8 I saw in Zurich. Don't think I've seen one of those in the wild before.

I wonder if the Alpina Z8 is the only tuned version of a sports car which has less power than stock?

Love the orange Countach. I have a soft spot for the Anniversary despite it being a bit ugly compared to earlier variants because not long after passing my driving test, I was overtaken by a red one. Owned by the chap who founded Evesham Micros, I saw it fairly regularly.
