Your chap Farage is in favour of the deal, so what changes do you think will happen in future?

The main failure of the leave supporters is they didnโ€™t have any coherent plan or vision anyway ๐Ÿ˜‚
Right so it's a small lesson in life. Once we actually have a stronger hand from this weak position all sorts will happen. Every leave voter thought this. Rome wasn't built in a day.
They really, really didn't.

You've personally confirmed with every single leave voter that they thought that? That's an impressive feat.

The possibility of a forum Christmas Day Brexit armistice appear to be fading by the second. Tsk.

I thought I still taught? Dear me I know lots of people who like a drink but you really need to think about your posting/drinking ratio. You're embarrassing yourself.

Oh, and no, they didn't.

โ€œThis weak positionโ€ - are you accepting that, or are you just trying to start Project Fear II?

Broccers, avoiding stating anything committal over the last four years does not put you in the position of knowledgable commentator now ๐Ÿคฃ

I do hope you are more motivational in your business lad! Anything is possible if you want it to happen. Realistically we won't fly from the get go leaving the EU.

So first week of post brexit shipping to the EU has been as much of a nightmare as I feared it would be

Even taking into account the issues we were carrying into the week from the Covid border closure, this week has been hard work

Cornwalls doing well out of it, too.

Can't say I feel sorry for them, I recall fishermen feeling the strongest about wanting to leave the EU when asked before the vote so suck it up and next time think about the consequences before voting eh.
Also the farmers moaning about fewer subsidies and more difficult access to seasonal migrant labour.

So there's some disruption. Hardly a surprise is it?

What I am staggered by is the seemingly absurd changes implemented by HMRC to collecting duty on imported goods. WTF were/are they thinking? Possibly absurd question bearing in mind this is HMRC we're talking about.

I think they either collect it from the seller or at the border and Boris wanted a 'frictionless border' so the former won out.

Yeah but it's a global change - why not just switch EU imports to the same system rather than create a shit new system for everyone? It's fvcking insane. It was hardly a big problem as a buyer to have to pay the duty on receipt of the goods.
