"I remember you"

Just. Brilliant.
Fionna and Cake AT spinoff/multiverse/thing. Great stuff from the Adventure Time team, heavier going than the original with longer episodes and slower multi aspect story but two thirds of the way through the series I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Very very headf*ckery in parts.

@Beany we did watch Gravity Falls too last year thanks for the recommendation. Brilliant stuff.
More multiverses with Fionna and Cake Series 2 even weirder and swearier than S1 but absolutely the most amazingly surreal and inventive stories.

Also recently did a rewatch of Gravity falls was fantastic, the Book of Bill I got for my birthday is certainly and odd side project.

Gravity Falls is fuckin' quality.

Aside, a content creator I follow did an edit of the Stranger Things final battle.

To Wild Wild West by Will Smith - and it works far better than it should. Almost like it was in their head as they did it. Because giant spider in a desert
Alas it's only on their patreon discord so I can't share it - spoiler above is a description of it.

I've not actually watched S5 of Stranger Things, suppose I should sort that out.

Stranger Things

Yeah we’ve waited far too long for this conclusion but just finished episode 4 and can say…

Brilliant… just fuckin’ brilliant

There may be a little too much comic relief in this series and it’s in danger of straying in into Harry Potter’s storyline but it doesn’t matter, it’s brilliant TV

Can’t wait till the 26th for the next episodes
Well I was satisfied with the conclusion
Spoiler
Although I am a big softy and it seemed to have been focus grouped to death
Just watched the finale - Agreed, I think It all ended well enough. There are one or two plot holes left but for a 10 year, 50+ episode series that’s to be expected.

I really loved it
Spoiler
I’ve thought since to the end of series one that El would have to die. And I’m glad they avoided the Hollywood Happy ending.

I found it a bit emotional to be honest but I tear up at the drop of a hat so no real measure

Yeah plenty of dust in our lounge room too :D
Spoiler
While they tied up the Henry/Mindflayer/11/Scooby gang storyline they did leave themselves the obvious prequel hook with that cursed stone the guy in the mine had.

I do hope not - the lads who made it are obviously super talented and amazing story tellers. Much and all as I loved this , I'd prefer to see them put their minds to a completely different story, different characters and different worlds

I heard a theory it could be Ellie because she referred to the "secret traitor" which is a phrase a faithful is unlikely to use, because they're concerned with all of the traitors, not which one is secret.

Someone said that to me on Monday - good point because would the faithful even be aware of the existence of a secret traitor? I don't know what they were told when they went in but that's new for this season, I believe (first season I've watched).

Pluribus - Apple TV

Really enjoyed this
Spoiler
Humanity basically becomes an LLM/ChatGPT, right? Ever helpful, childlike, no understanding of context, will do whatever you ask of it, knowledge but not intelligence etc
Down Cemetery Road - Apple TV

Emma Thompson military conspiract drama - really enjoyed, even though it did have a kid in it (which is usually a sure sign it'll be crap)

A House of Dynamite - Netflix

Really good political drama

Yeah, I thought it was a satisfying ending.

Some of these big hits have a habit of never quite letting it feel like a complete story, or leaving you guessing. Of course there is potential with the lava rock to get it going again, but it largely closed it down and settled most things.
