I'm pretty sure people on here said it. A bit of internetting suggests I'm hilariously wrong. Perhaps I've misinterpreted 'not as bad as it used to be' with 'not a thing at all'.

FWIW, after the slipslide from the tyre fitters, there's been no problems. In fact, it's grippy as all fuck. I could normally get the back end moving in a few quiet parts of town, but now it just grips and goes.

So I'm guessing the old tyres were a bit fucked then

I want to know who felt it was necessary to design 0.5deg increments into cars anyway. Who sits in a car and thinks - "20 is too hot...but 19 is too cold. If only there was a setting in between"

Yep, the BMWs all had 0.5 degree adjustment, the Honda doesn't and I genuinely miss it.

If you set it to Fahrenheit, 1F is quite close to 0.5C...

Had a quick go with the dashcam today - forgot to take the plastic lens cover off so it was a bit soft/shiny but caught some dimwit pulling out without looking and then pissing off up the 30mph road at a fair whack over that.

So I think this'll be useful. I'll probably properly install it over Christmas, as there's a remote chance I won't get pinged at work during Xmas day at least.

I’ve spent today building an awning for my car. It’s absolutely crap quality 1mm thick aluminium so I just cut the legs down with a mitre saw for wood. I haven’t bolted it down as I ran out of light so I hope it won’t get blown away by the morning. Also the metal is so thin that you can’t really torque anything down without bending it so I may buy some loctite for it.
Still, should keep most the rain off and help with the damp as sometimes I don’t drive for a month at a time.

Spent an hour or so messing with the lupo locks, the drivers lock had snapped meaning you couldn't lock the drivers door without climbing through the car, and central locking only works from the drivers lock.

Swapped the innards over from the pass side to get it working. Must be a common failure as you can buy a kit of the bits for under £3 a side. One spring is a bit of a fiddle, but could probably get the lot swapped over on both sides in about ten minutes now I know how to do it.

Not much cabin space in the 330, but it's still fine for a tip run.

Drop roof, throw toot in cabin, drive to tip, grab toot from cabin, throw in respective receptacle.

Easy. Who needs an estate car?
