For those that watched W&G: Spoiler
The sub surfacing scene, was that a Bond reference or The Abyss?
Spoiler
Why not both! Wallace's 'I don't remember that being there' got a laugh from me
Good point!

@DeskJockey To your question - I believed it was the former, but I have been searching youtube to find verification and can't locate anything.
I'm 80% of the way through another watch, and spotting things I missed first time . I may need to amend my scoring upwards, as I think I was swayed by Spoiler
not really liking either of the cop characters
@speedingfine Absolutely agree on your points. Spoiler
The way the guard's hanky is ticked back into his pocket. The tiny triumphant head movement when feathers guesses the password. The tension over the CAPTCHA image
I'll also add Spoiler
I've re-wound and re-watched at least another ten times, the moment where feathers fits the outboards to his narrowboat and it bursts out through the gates and makes a tight turn before powering away. It's like three seconds or something, but my mind is just melted. The way the boat moves. The way the water moves. It's as close to perfection as I think is possible. Just brilliant
Agree about the boat and raise you the Norbot powered van and it's powerslide

Since this is (for the moment at least) the W&GVMF thread now - I can advise that the full thing is available on uchoob. Posting in case you reside in Johnnyforeignland and this is an easier option than trying to get via BBC IPlayer…..

Very much this. Family and I loved it, another great entry in the W&Gverse. Narrowboat chase had no right to be that cool

You uncultured swines. Spoiler
He's a fucking penguin
(I think there's a different scene where he does the duck-rise thing too, but I'm not spending half an hour finding it)

However, I'm watching Landman - another Sheridan series about the Oil Business. Billy Bob Thornton plays the Landman, a sort of ground agent for a big Oil Barron played by John Hamm. Very good so far with lotsu of laugh out loud moments, despite not being a comedy. Thornton's relationship with his ex wife and daughter is hilarious
It has been very good this but I'll be honest, the characterisation of the wife and daughter isn't great. It's very misogynistic and can be quite uncomfortable at times. I guess women have it tough in the roughneck world of oil mining but he (Sheridan)} could have written this in a more thoughtful or subtle way.
However, this Sunday's episode had an amazing cameo by Jerry Jones, the owner of the Dallas Cowboys. Amazing performance from a non actor...

I think they're brilliant, bat shit crazy and brilliant. Besides it's not as if all the female characters are like that - quite the opposite so far.
PS it's not a thoughtful or subtle show!

Vic Reeves Big Night Out has appeared on 4 On Demand, all of season 1&2, still as great as it ever was.

I appreciate this isn’t for everyone but my other half is a big fan…
Eastenders did a 1 hour live episode tonight - the aftermath of an explosion in the Queen Vic - and I have to say it was fantastically done. 20 or 30 actors featuring, huge number of camera angles and no one put a foot wrong
Very impressive piece of telly
EDIT - it appears my other half’s an idiot. The live show is tomorrow.
I thought it was too polished…
This is a new one #BecauseDinnysOtherHalf…
