How's the labelling proposed to work? I keep reading about them not permitting origin labelling, but is that to apply also to UK sourced meat?

Sounds just vague enough to be a paper making up news for a quiet day without enough conviction to actually be pulled up on it!

We all know it will be talked about in discussions, it’s not like the US is just going to never mention it again, regardless of whether we have any intention of doing it or not!

The US have basically said it’s not negotiable.
That quote about using food safety as a ruse to protect British farmers is a belter.

It's always been a key tenet of US trade negotiations so it was never going to go away.
