A few years ago we visited Bletchley Park a few years ago (which is fascinating)
But the National Museum of Computing next door was also excellent.
My Dad was a mainframe analyst when I was growing up, so I was very familiar with all the micro-computers, and mainframe stuff there. I remember it being so exciting going into "the computer room" as it was back then (and being told about the Halon extinguishers, "gas masks" etc).
It's utterly incredible how things have progressed since those days - the speeds and capacities of modern devices were purely theoretical back then.
Although this pre-dates those days (by about 20 years) I love this photo of a 1957 Elliott 405 and a Raspberry Pi:

Des Moines was the reason I quit smoking... 
I used to go there for work a fair bit and huddling outside the office in temps pushing -25 to -30 with wind chill was the final straw - I said this is ridiculous and quit not long later.
