Today’s want
Re: Today’s want
It's nice but it's not quarter of a million nice...
Re: Today’s want
Aren’t they supposed to be a bit shite to drive?
I want a dually suburban for Twister related reasons.
Suburbans of any type are more scarce than I would’ve thought though.

Re: Today’s want
I don't think I've ever seen a dually Suburban.
I hankered after an Excursion for a while. Similar kinda thing.

Yeah V10 Excursions make crazy money now.
I’m not sure whether the dually was ever factory. It’s an easy mod from a dually silverado though, just needs the axle and the arch extensions.

We traded a V10 Excursion in when I was running the Cadillac/Corvette/Hummer showroom, against an Escalade.Sundayjumper wrote: Mon Dec 30, 2024 12:03 pm I don't think I've ever seen a dually Suburban.

Really disappointing engine - went fairly well but sounded like a wheezy V6.

Oof

Re: Today’s want
The wheels look like they should have large centre caps that cover the nuts, other than that, purpley goodness

Re: Today’s want
That is lovely. I think the 410 may be peak road Evora - with the 430 being peak track Evora?
Mad that it’s £10k more than a nearly new 400bhp Emira.

Re: Today’s want
There's quite a few 410's hanging around the £60k mark - more of those than 400's or SR's. I suspect they're now a more difficult sell considering where the Emira is.mik wrote: Sat Jan 11, 2025 10:02 pm That is lovely. I think the 410 may be peak road Evora - with the 430 being peak track Evora?

Considering the stories I've been hearing about the build quality issues on the early, <£60k Emira's though, I think a 410 would be a safer bet!
Re: Today’s want
Keeping this thing delivery mileage should be a crime
Re: Today’s want
That's possibly my favourite spec that I've seen on a 918! The pictures look like they could have been from the original Porsche advert, pretty incredible

Re: Today’s want
What’s the asking price vs. the original list price ? Keeping that thing delivery mileage was probably a solid investment.

A 10yr old car whose USP is (now) that it still has just 32km on the clock and has never been driven, will now never be driven. Ever. Car crime.

Re: Today’s want
I've always wondered just how bad it is to have a highly strung engine like that (or any engine, really) never be run in, put under load, etc.
I often wonder if it'd end up as someone buying one of those things, taking it for it's first and only 'big run' before putting it in storage for a decade, and it starting to leak like a sieve as one of the major oil seals give up the ghost from not getting regular pressurised running.

Re: Today’s want
Probably fine to be honest.
Not like they’re going to be left outside under a tarp.
I’ve opened 40 year old containers of oil which still looks, smells and feels as fresh as it did when it was made.
Would be different if it was subject to moisture and sat full of nasty sludgy old oil.

I'd never buy another Elise/Exige car, nor would I particularly want a black car, yet sometimes two things just come together and make you consider calling Ocean Finance:
