Because I'm sure in the midst of a
butter custody battle, that's her priority.
Butter custody battles tend to churn up a lot of hatred. Especially when one is main bread winner.
we could really milk this one…
I'm sure she's probably a right cow, but even so, how dairy behave like this!

Fuck it, I'm not fixing that - if I did, all these puns would be toast.

Simple but effective.

Has Musk not seen The Terminator or Robocop? Replacing humanity with machines doesn't go well.

Maybe putting all our hopes for the future onto a self obsessed arsehole who only cares about accumulating more stuff was a bad idea

It's too much to hope, I'm sure, but if the value of Tesla and Twitter stock fall enough will Musk actually run out of money, or at least lose Donald's trust due to his wealth declining?

It's like communism, innit ? Nobody has done it properly. Next time it'll work out great. Just substitute here with every (?) Sci-fi story ever.

Oh, it's less complicated than that. They just can't say his future plans are out and out white supremacist as they might get sued for that.
Although the discovery section of any such lawsuit, where they pull out the hundreds of times Musk has, at the most charitable interpretation, been the biggest useful idiot that's ever lived for white supremacists and full blown neo-nazis, would be entertaining in and of itself.

He's reportedly massively leveraged and if Tesla stock gets down to around 200 he's screwed.

Given sales in Europe dropped like a stone just in the chunk of January while he was just getting started on his little power trip, I don't think that's too outlandish, honestly.

SJ is correct - AFAIK his Twitter borrowing was against Tesla's value, so if it falls to X level he may effectively get 'margin called'.
Hope it does so. Compared to other auto manufacturers Tesla true p/e value puts the price at under $50. He's lied and lied and lied about FSD for a decade to push the share price up and now it seems like people can finally see that the emperor actually has no clothes on.

He's also had massive cash injections every time they've announced a car (whether it gets released or not) in the form of initial deposits and then interim ones too. Will be interesting to see how the next 6-12 months go for him, but I'm sure government bailouts/funding won't be an issue given his new friends?

I assumed part of his coup was making sure to secure Space X funding in perpetuity .

I'm suprised Tesla's board haven't thrown Elon out as he is doing significant damage to their brand.

The whole cult of Tesla / musk built on complete lies is just absurd.
No doubt he’ll make some ridiculous claim in a day or two to bump their stock again.

Technically he's not been lying, it was "corporate puffery" and no one should take anything he says seriously, or us it to make investment decisions
This was the result of a court case brought by investors a while back
His defensive was that we can't take him seriously
And it worked, Musk won the case
