Curious..... although given he (or maybe someone else) pumped into it (in terms of £'s ) he's probably relieved with that.

It's just an assumption there's a dash light on, he may have it mapped out, but it's often the way in such ads. I think* the V10 has dpf(s) and I think* egr removal helps prevent them clogging so I'd go for mapping (which may even just be vcds coding)Sundayjumper wrote: Sat Dec 09, 2023 9:27 pmEGR - what’s the cheapest way out of that then, mapping or putting the EGR back in ? The V10 is plenty powerful enough already, d**king about with it just causes problems. Like this.nuttinnew wrote: Sat Dec 09, 2023 5:30 pm I'm guessing one thing is it'll have a dash light on because of physical egr removal but they haven't been mapped out. You could get it cheaper without the 20s and use the Bentleys...
Wheels - thankfully they don’t fit. The Bentley is 5x112, The Touareg is 5x130, so you don’t get scene muppets putting Bentley wheels on Touaregs & Q7sBut by a stroke of luck I still have a set of 18” Cayenne wheels that work very nicely on the Touareg. So I could sell the 19s *and* the 20s to end up with a very cheap Touareg.
The Speedlines would have been reasonably valuable if they’d not been painted black.
Here’s mine as it was with the 18” Cayenne wheels. Ride quality was lovely & comfy.

then slags it off 6 months later when someone else looks at the same model.Sundayjumper wrote: Sun Dec 10, 2023 10:50 pm
LOL. "I’m KEEPING the Unimog! Probably forever." I'm getting flashbacks to every car Ste ever had:
It's brilliant it's the best car ever
I'm thinking of selling it
I've changed my mind it's better than the best car ever I'm never ever ever ever selling it
......
(quietly sells it because actually it's a fcuked money pit)

It's the Viva that most readily comes to my mind, but he did the same with most of them. Many, many years ago he sold Gavster an E34 that never ran right without mentioning it had a problem.nuttinnew wrote: Tue Dec 12, 2023 11:12 pm I must have missed - or forgotten - some - or all - of that hoo-ha![]()

'71 Vauxhall Viva HC De-Luxe
Sold 4 weeks ago. Still won't work. It's at a local garage who is a classic Vauxhall nerd. He got it to start but it won't run properly. He reckons the carb is playing up now so he's fitting a used one he has in stock today.
Ah, I didn't know about the e34. That explains why some of the interactions seemed a tad piqued.Sundayjumper wrote: Wed Dec 13, 2023 8:46 amIt's the Viva that most readily comes to my mind, but he did the same with most of them. @speedingfine, doesn't tempt you away from the Merc idea?
£650 for everything apart from 14 things that will not be included
Does it run?Sundayjumper wrote: Mon Dec 18, 2023 10:21 pm FAO me. Broken Touareg for a grand.
