Curious..... although given he (or maybe someone else) pumped into it (in terms of £'s ) he's probably relieved with that.
The ebay thread
Re: The ebay thread
For an old unimog that would have been the most expensive in the world!
Dealers rarely take a bath on stuff even their own cars lol

Re: The ebay thread
Looks like buyer saw some sense that he’s about to blow £91,500 (presumably +VAT + 6% fees?) on a pretty overpriced ornament and the seller realised that he’ll lose a bunch of money as the market for a tarted up Unimog selling for 6 figures is nil.
How about not having a sig at all?
Re: The ebay thread
It's just an assumption there's a dash light on, he may have it mapped out, but it's often the way in such ads. I think* the V10 has dpf(s) and I think* egr removal helps prevent them clogging so I'd go for mapping (which may even just be vcds coding)Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Sat Dec 09, 2023 9:27 pmEGR - what’s the cheapest way out of that then, mapping or putting the EGR back in ? The V10 is plenty powerful enough already, d**king about with it just causes problems. Like this.
Wheels - thankfully they don’t fit. The Bentley is 5x112, The Touareg is 5x130, so you don’t get scene muppets putting Bentley wheels on Touaregs & Q7s But by a stroke of luck I still have a set of 18” Cayenne wheels that work very nicely on the Touareg. So I could sell the 19s *and* the 20s to end up with a very cheap Touareg.
The Speedlines would have been reasonably valuable if they’d not been painted black.
Here’s mine as it was with the 18” Cayenne wheels. Ride quality was lovely & comfy.

* I was wrong with the 5x112, befuddled little grey cells putting R5s, 6cyl+, and Phaetons together, and coming up with potato
You may be able to negotiate cheapness for the Speedlines so he doesn't have the aggro of advertising them and get a bit back on them anyway. It looks good on 18"s in that pic, I think it's the lack of roof rails

It's the Viva that most readily comes to my mind, but he did the same with most of them. Many, many years ago he sold Gavster an E34 that never ran right without mentioning it had a problem.

Here we go....
Fixing it after selling it. This time he got a buyer that wasn't putting up with his s**t.

Re: The ebay thread
Ah, I didn't know about the e34. That explains why some of the interactions seemed a tad piqued.Sundayjumper wrote: ↑Wed Dec 13, 2023 8:46 amIt's the Viva that most readily comes to my mind, but he did the same with most of them. (I remembered the Viva but not who owned it).
