It's awesome but it's got a bit of a weird stance to it - the back looks too high up even though the arch gaps are the same. I also like unimogs to have bigger wheels.

I wonder if a tarted up Unimog is worth less or more than a more industrial one. I'd be surprised if it's more.

Possibly right, as I think most of them are used commercially. This one is kinda similar for around £58k, but :

That one is far more appealing, but it'll sell to someone who wants to cut down trees in their hundred acre wood or similar. I had a Passenger Ride in a Unimog on an Off-Road course up near Barnsley.
It had done 1.1m km’s
500k of that was in Germany where it was a workhorse for the Railway Network company, then Merc bought it back and put another 500k on it. The off road people had it for 4 or 5 years for the rest:

I used to drive them a bit, my grandad always had them for work. The 406 series so the interiors were a bit more rustic .

The black one is pretty useless, if it had a pto someone with an estate could at least use it to trim hedges

Those old ones are a misery to spend any time in, you're sitting on the front wheel arch and the dog house for the engine is just bare fibreglass. So the noise and heat is incredible. Saying that, I used to amaze people by being able to fall asleep in the passenger seat. I blame early mornings and carbon monoxide poisoning tbh

I assumed that the Unimog would fall into the X-class category where the p1mped versions are worth more than their more industrial siblings.

As Mik said it's hard to find a comparison as the chances of finding 2 identical Mogs is next to zero.
My thinking is that after the first 10 years they don't really lose much value as long as they're maintained. I think more people would be looking for a practical one with a pto and a usable cargo area than one with leather seats.
Some rich guy will probably buy it to sit in a shed and show off though, like a Spectre Defender.
