Fitted passenger seat.
Bypassed passenger seat occupancy sensor (100 ohm resistor & a diode).
Bypassed both seatbelt pretensioners (2.7 ohm resistor each).
Fitted USA front bumper insert & slightly small number plate.
Fitted cheapie manual “M3” mirrors, because aero, because lightweight.

I need to source a set of rear seat belt receivers to put in the front, harnesses will be fine until the MOT comes around though. I was intending to paint the mirrors but the car has a bit of a silver / black colour scheme anyway and (IMO) they don’t look too awful, plus they were cheaper than s/h standard mirrors !

Still no steering wheel boss :(

Apart from that we’re very nearly ready.

What is the advantage to removing the seatbelt pre-tensioners? :?

Because they're attached to the seat along with the standard seat belt buckle and he has removed the seats and put buckets and harnesses in.

It'll light the airbag warning light which is an mot fail unless you trick it with a resistor.

I tried the 'key in the lock' thing in York to see if it would put the roof down. Hey, it does.

I was impatient to get back home, so I did York to Leeds, at night, in about 7deg C, with the roof down.

That engine sounds lovely through the few tunnels on the route, I must say. Was a bit nippy though, even with the heaters on full chat.

Might have to sniff around for a wind deflector some time...

Man, you have been busy. Am liking the small front plate. And the buckets/harnesses of course.

I see the new merc GLE configurator is up, so how bad an idea would a new GLE450 be, the ML needs replaced and I like the look of this gen.
