Hmm - just catching up on this. The website just shows "5.30pm" vehicle ticket and later - unclear what that means but I presume 5.30 arrival and all the slots before are sold out?
ETA yes the blurb further down says arrive 30 minutes either side of your time and you're guaranteed a space. Guess I would just have to turn up early then... which is annoying as its 2+ hours from South London.

Ahhh yeah looks like tickets are preferable. However we’re meeting early so I reckon you’ll be fine, and surely they have some overflow or similar?
Plus we’re planning on doing a bit of a drive so I guess we’re gonna be out of there after a couple of hours.

There's a lot of space (there's a grass field at the back that they open when busy), I've never seen it anywhere near full, stranger things have happened but I can't see them turning people away at 9am.

Interesting, when I click on the 24th of May on the calendar, bookings are still available for 9am:
Maybe if it's not working for you, try a different browser?

Looks like the weather is going to be ok, may just come along to the start to see some old and new faces in whatever vehicle is being the least awkward at the time

We have new faces?
Old saggy ones
I was being a knob and must have been looking at the previous Sunday (i.e. today). Ticket booked (but for 9.30 as if they let you in 30 minutes either side then there is no point booking for 9 if they open at 9…)

This weekend probably the most I'm going to use the car all year. Garage door has just packed up so I'm going to have to do the arduous manual wind all the time.

Off-topic, but you have a (normally electric) roller door?

Yeah. About 3 weeks out of labour warranty apparently.
Bugger, I take it you've done a search to see if it's something that can be DIY fixable?
Might be worth taking off the cover to see if it's anything obvious?

I believe some roller motors have fuzes under the cover, could be something simple like that

It's something to do with the safety system where it will only let you raise it. So I can manually open it enough to get under, switch it on, and then raise it the rest of the way. I have read somewhere that there's a sensor attached to the door with some small batteries in it that can run out, but I'm not 100% sure I'm looking at the right thing so dunno if I want to start unscrewing things...

I have also put the winding bar in a battery drill which saves the old arms!

We have a couple at work with this type
The battery is some weird size but they do strange things when it’s voltage drops

We had to change the battery in the small box on our garage door some time back.
Neat trick with the drill. I've never had to use the manual winder, fortunately.

Found where the noise was coming from on the 968, after hearing a metallic clank a few weeks ago. (looks like it's going to need a replacement backbox)
You'll have to put up with seeing the silver car instead, as I can't risk driving the 968 for around 4 hours and the backbox completely breaking away!

There is a tiny box thing on the door, but I took it off today and it looks like it's got a metal strip / magnet in it.
