Can't remember if we've covered it here, but I'm guiltily enjoying watching the Bidenfreude as MAGAs are beginning to feel the bite of what they voted for.
It would be funny if the impact wasn't so tragic.

I don't know if it's specifically true for Viagra, but I believe Ozempic, the weight loss drug is entirely made in the Netherlands, and the US is one of the biggest markets....

Yeah, see this is the thing with late stage capitalism - why make something yourself when you can provide a favourable tax/trade deal to import it cheaper?
Then someone like Trump comes along, someone with the same sort of nuanced and deep understanding of international trade as a badly made cheese toasty, and suddenly that supply chain starts looking rather risky.

The ‘vast majority’ of Viagra is made in Ireland, apparently.
Let’s see if Trump will be standing proud on his tariff policies.

10% tariff on UK imports for them. Then again that’s fair I guess because whenever we import something from the US there’s a 10% tariff. I wasn’t aware they had no tariffs currently.

I was about to ask WTF "currency manipulation" (one of the existing factors taken into consideration when calculating his "reciprocal" tariffs) but I shouldn't really be surprised that (according to
this RTE article at least) they haven't shared any of their calculations. Of course.
