You should of (shudder) thought of that.

Mechanic has poked around the Zoe and agrees it is the compressor that's the source of the noise. He'll price up the parts and we'll take it from there.

I think the compressor still works, but there's likely internal damage. Let's see.

I'm not particularly impressed with it. It is on 55k miles, and it shouldn't have this many issues.

Skoda Superb sold after 7 trusty years and a relatively low 60k odd faultless miles. Bought for 14k, sold for 7.4, not too offensive. Other than servicing and two glow plugs 0 issues.

Now gay and drive a Tesla Y. Initial impressions are good, base rwd model but still circa 300bhp. Bought 3 year old via Tesla, painless experience. Other than the stupid lower seat vents that collect stones nothing negative to report.

Came across a set of improved injectors for the bargain price of £164. Ordered and they'll be here Friday. I'll try and carve out some time when I get back to get them fitted. Should hopefully take a couple of hours.

Isn't it worth getting it rebuilt rather than risking a used one? This place seems to work on most cars and they're reasonably priced

Good point, they've not got anything in stock for the Zoe that I can see, but I'm getting the part number and checking with them.

7000 miles in M3.. a stone, well rock, was fired at me last week with a loud twang noise on impact, looks like it scraped my offside rear alloy. Silver wheels ftmfw

Clearing out airways and refilling screen wash when I noticed there’s a big unused area under the bonnet (1ftx1ftx1ft).. drug stash area ?

Weird to leave such a large unused area on a modern car unless it’s for a specific option, or space left for bits if you have a lhd version maybe.

Soemthing to do with LH/RH swap for the market? Looks like a blocked off hole at the bottom.

Alfa had something similar, it's where the remote fresh air intake was, but it was reversed depending on whether...well, it was LHD or RHD.

For 8 injectors? That's a pretty damn good price!

Think the 968 shares the same injectors as the 928, but not sure if it's the earlier kind or later kind you previously mentioned.

Anyway, I've put around 100 miles on the M3 since fitting new tyres and new rear dampers (hardly the level of miles Jobbo has put on his M5 since he purchased it, I know!). The rear feels less distracted by bumps and more 'together' and cohesive now. Happy about the improvement, car feels ever more composed.



Ian, my M3 also has that same void. Think the steering column and other bits go there on LHD E46 M3s. Interesting BMW have kept the same void for the modern M3s!

I'm not sure if it's just Renault thing but there are lots of fake Bosch injectors about for them. Bad spray patterns and the resistance is different which oddly stops you engaging the cruise control.
