The 1st StMary’s trophy race from todays goodwood revival is superb.
Awesome battle for 4th with button in an Alfa which looks a joy to drive but isn’t great in a straight line.
Every time I watch one of these I get the want for an A40.

Seems to be raining there today which could make things pretty interesting!

Some good racing from Goodwood St Mary's Trophy - as usual.
Messrs Meaden and Harris feature.
In-car shots of James Colburn around 3min shows him coping without using H&T - which surprised me.
Good final laps for the lead.
Nothing life threatening, but a few crumps - which always make me wince.

And Race1. Really enjoyed watching Button at work in the Alfa - wish there had been an onboard cam in the Jimmy Johnson car too.

Not cars but bikes.
Mad end to the BSB race at Oulton.
Safety car comes in with a only a couple of laps remaining, so it was going to be exciting.
Leader (Bridewell) is controlling the restart - allows the safety car to get well ahead and then goes for it. But then realises he's gone way too early as he approaches the final bend, so tries to back everyone up again, but by this point several folks in the field are under the impression they are at race pace again.....

Seen you guys talking about Tavarish before and didn't bother to look at his stuff, but I caught his interview on TLBS and thought he seemed like a genuine guy. Must admit I'm now flying through his P1 videos. The constant "we'll just do this, and then fire it up" joke is getting a bit old, but apart from that it's pretty interesting. What a piece of engineering that P1 is!

I’m enjoying his P1 series but I felt the opposite way about the car. It’s just a mish mash of old McLarens with a questionable hybrid system bodged on. Seems like the best McLaren is a 720s as that’s what it’s all based on and doesn’t have the complex battery and ridiculously overpriced parts.

I mean in terms of complexity really, there's a lot to it.

Did you watch TLBS interview. The rear wheel had a hole punched in it by some tow grunt using a chain on the wheel to secure it on the tow truck. fucking muppets.

So did the chassis, the tow truck driver winched it over a piece of debris and tore through the floorpan.

I got the impression the floor pan damage was due to being dragged around by the flood? The wheel was tragic though.
The amount of money McLaren wanted for the replacement bits was funny, either they didn't make any money on each car or there is a hell of a markup on parts (probably a bit of both).

I thought he said it was sitting on top of a toilet and then got dragged out but I do click through lots of the video as they’re too long for me.

Saw that bit again, he says it got dragged on the toilet, but it's not really clear whether it was dragged by flood water or during recoverg. I think I assumed it was the flood water, but it could be after.

DYELC? The 720S came out 5 years later. It's based on the 650S/MP4 12C.
