as Trump will sign another Presidential Decree making standing in opposition a Capital Offence
I'm telling you - it's coming
He pretty much said it himself while running, things like never having to have to vote again. I definitely don’t see him leaving easily after 4 years if he’s still breathing.

Meanwhile the war on DEI means you can't be celebrating/memorialising the efforts of Native American US soldiers:
You recognising brown people? Woke twat! To Guantanamo with you.

So either Greenland voluntarily join the USA or it will be taken by military force.
If the latter happens will it be a full on EU vs USA fight or Donbas mk2? You know, lots of heads stuck in the sand…

The dumbest (dumbererest?) thing is the US already has a military base there.
I doubt US and Europe would ever start a shooting war, the economic conflict could trash the entire Western trade system.
BRICs becomes CIBEs...

If that happened, expect Five Eyes to become Four Eyes.
The UK has huge infosec taps in the middle and near east, which the US rely upon for intelligence, which they'd lose overnight.

Yeah, but what the hell happens to all the US facilities and personnel located in suddenly "unfriendly" countries.
I would bet his Dogeness will say everything can be replaced with starlink.
Aukus will be another nightmare to untangle.

Started seeing adverts for “visit USA”
Guess being a country ran by unpredictable political nutcase racists isn’t great for bringing in that tourism money

Gavster mentioned this to me a couple of weeks ago - a platform connecting businesses to influencers had an advert from a state tourism dept. They wanted a series of short vids based on a 1-week road trip. Deal was: road trip for you+1 fully funded (flights, car, hotels, subsistence) and $18k.
Aimed at one of the bigger influencers no doubt but tourism is clearly getting hammered right now.
In fact, that makes me wonder. Will they start preventing Americans going abroad ? In 1989 only 3% of Americans had a passport. Part of the greatness they long for ? They want to be isolationist. There will be brain drain happening. Rescinding passports from the current 48% that have them would help a lot.
Someone on the Lotus forum was highlighting - hang on I'll just paste his thought:
When he was in his slagging off Zelenskyy phase a couple of weeks back he was claiming Zelenskyy wasn't legitimate because he hadn't held elections when they were due a year or so into the war with Putin. The rest of the world backed Zelenskyy as legitimate for continuing during war time without the disruption of holding elections. All Trump has to do is manufacture a conflict somewhere (Greenland?) and he can claim legitimate continuity for a third term on the same basis.

I don’t want to come across as a Russian master war planner but an American invasion of Greenland would be over far too quickly for that. Maybe Canada can be drawn out into a decade long war, and it’s right on the border rather than in a foreign land so more similar to Ukraine then.

Agreed. Maybe it’s elsewhere, but Greenland would be a no-risk “war” that gives him what he needs, and he gets to test the water for Putin-esque invasions of independent states.

he doesn't need to declare war - martial law would be enough, and there are many, many more options to do that - even as little as public protests, which lets face it, aren't hard to imagine.
One could only hope that the secret service do something useful for once in their existence and just cranially ventilate the lot of them at the same time, wherever they are or whatever they're doing.
