What colour have you got?

Nice. 8-)

Hopefully the gear lever is easier to use than the Manuel Supra I tried (where the centre console required a very “elbow high” arm position that I didn’t love).

That is indeed a lovely colour. Those seats as well 8-) big fan of tan seats (although they look a bit lighter maybe?)

That’s a lovely colour. I have a colleague who wants a 2-series coupe in that colour with red leather. I haven’t seen any specced that way at all so she might have to buy new or compromise.

All of those clues pointed me to a 992 as well.

I had a guy approach me when I got out of the X5 the other evening asking where I got my yellow DRLs from - I explained that they came standard from the factory, in 2009!

I’m bias but it does look even better in the flesh, it’s thunder night with cognac seats.

Long story, I ordered one of the last build slots in September, sold my 550 as I was given a good offer to sell it before the new car arrived. My build slot was then cancelled when I’d already committed to selling. I was very close to another mx5 when a dealer found a cancelled order which never actually arrived.

Fast forward several long months when another dealer contacted me and offered the exact spec I was looking for, offering me a huge discount if I could pick up the car in 2025.

It’s little sad that it’s literally one of the last Z cars to be made, but I’m feeling lucky to have one.

Z looks ace, surely the colour that will hold value the most.

Have to ask, why no green cars?

Focus threw a hissy fit the other day, couldn’t work out why. have managed to replicate the fault by accelerating up from 40 to 50 in 5th gear and I get a spanner light and a “see manual” message and went into reduced power. Turn it off and on again and it goes away

My Aldi special code reader didn’t show anything- Downloaded forscan (that’s scan not skin) on my phone- no windows laptops here- and purchased the ford forums recommended dongle, which Amazon kindly delivered a mere 5 hours after ordering, and found a code showing up as a knock sensor. Service is due and the plugs are of an unknown age- internet suggests they may be the cause, or poor quality petrol (its currently on standard bp 95) so need to get service sorted and hopefully it goes away. Annoyingly other than that the light it seems to be running fine *touch wood* (again scan not skin!)

Sounds daft, but I’m really superstitious and a green car is said to be bad luck.

Shit! You know that if you feel green cars bring bad luck, it’s super bad luck to even mention this publically.

Thankfully it’s possible to reverse this bad luck by sending £250 to a Scotsman. It can be any, but I’ll PM you my PayPal details mate - to help you out. :geek:

I was thinking I’d had no bad times with my green fabia but then I remembered the bus driving over a wagon tyre carcass, throwing it at my car, leaving small dents on virtually every panel

But then I did write off a red corsa

And fuck the wheels on a grey Škoda

And have someone crash into said Škoda in a car park and fuck off

And have someone crash into my focus leaving a bigger dent in it than the Škoda and also fuck off

Then crash it into my house

Actually I don’t think it’s the colour. It’s just cars. Cars are bad luck. We’re all dooooomed! Dooomed I tell yas!

You've written off 4 cars?! I'll add you to a list of people not to hand my keys over to then ;)

I've only managed 1 and that was driven into by a drunk.

yeah, not great - but only one was my fault

maestro (mums) someone pulled out of petrol station exit in front of me.
R19 1.4 (mums) 100% my fault! went too fast around a corner and smashed the side on armco.
R19 16v someone pulled out of side road into my rear quarter
M3 someone pulled out of side road into my side

i have 14 years NCB!
