Wasn’t any on the kings Bentley either
the Bentley is famous for not having to have a number plate, it was always the one car that doesn't need/ have one. Although this may be any car the queen drove?

Ah, I have identified them as OEM 20" Amirante alloys. They look larger in diameter than 20". Never seen them on an X351.
I have always had these on the wish list, even more so on those wheels. I was picked up in one by a few years ago which made me want one even more, the ride was up there with an S class. The chauffeur put me off when he said they have a fleet of them and the gearboxes are made of cheese, rarely getting past 60,000 miles.
Gearboxes aren't a common failure point on X351 so I'm not sure where he's got that from.
It's the same ZF 8 speed that's in almost everything.
Must be something Jaguar do as the gearbox in mine is terrible and only on 46k.

I caught a couple of minutes of this earlier when mrs mik was watching.
The camera panned to the crowd, and around 50% were holding gun their phones out or up whilst staring at the phone a screen. It’s probably the most heavily televised event in the UK for decades - hours of footage to watch. I have to assume they are interested in the event, and have gone to some effort to get there and we’re keen to soak in this historic event…. WTAF?

Did you not notice it when you test drove it or has it just started doing it, you haven't had it long have you?
I'd be taking it back if its not right, my XF is on 70k now and is perfect still.

This pisses me off to no end. People no longer watch events, they watch events on their phones. Might as well be at home watching it on tv
Some didn’t even have the decency to hold their phones landscape

The hearse must have a special first gear so it's going exactly at marching speed.

Wonder if they have some sort of low speed brake hold / creep mode to run at walking pace because they often arrive at a funeral with a man walking in front and I’ve never seen them creep with the brake lights on like I’d have to in our auto.

Yeah I thought the same as I didn’t see the brake lights and it would be quite tiring to have to press the brake pedal ever so lightly for so long. Then again these special diplomatic cars usually have black out functions to disable brake lights don’t they?

I'd have thought they'd have some sort of crawler gear. Can't imagine they ride the brake for such extended periods.

I was also wondering if they’d disabled the brake lights. Crawler gear makes sense.

Cool wheels on the Jag.
They missed a trick on the badging. It was bagded XJL and should have been XJXL.

MYT1 used to be on a Vauxhall Cresta estate that the Queen kept at Sandringham - perhaps a little nod to that

I believe it was this. Prince Phillip apparently purchased myt1 for the queen as a joke

Still have an eye on an XJ, there is a dark grey supercharged locally that keeps on promoting me to have another look.
This one was owned by the queen, service history by Q sounds cool.
