Thought the seats looked very worn for 60,000 miles but maybe some of those 5 owners were morbidly obese. Looking at the MOT history I’d avoid that one though, I think it’s a bit suspect to be having oil leaks and worn suspension and knackered shock absorbers at 32,000 miles.

Indeed, I was fine with that. Not astronomical mileage either, 4k miles/year on average. MOT history not at all unreasonable, although two months to get the last MOT done? Maybe that was haggling over the Magna Ride suspension cost?

And they said the new corvette was the first one to have an engine in the back
Strange to see a kit car that would be worth buying to restore to the original model, I bet a good type 3 fastback would be worth a bit these days

There are only 2 aspects that make a Corvette of that vintage desirable.
Looks.
Sound.
Double fail.

Made aware of this by Tankslider on Twitter (who had placed a drunken bid).
- I have
absolutely zero use or need for this
- I am certain some of that fresh shiney fresh paint is a clever ploy (how long will those painted tracks stay black?)
And yet.... it's CAF and I want it.

At the current €500 bid it’s fantastic. What are they really worth ?
(and a road trip to Italy to collect it

)

I think it might be this one.... without the shiny paint it sold for £5k a year ago.

Edit - no, it's not.

You'd never get it back together

. That would be fun for a banger rally or something though, put a Subaru motor in the back and it'll be faster than a real C3 Corvette.

They must've painted it in situ as it would've chipped the paint moving there. Tracked tractors are a pain in the arse to keep, you trash any surface you drive them over.

£5000 is fair value if it works for something like that, it’s a shame it’s missing the 3 point hitch as I imagine it’s quite hard to find a replacement for it. It is useless in the UK though.

Ja. I was just looking at the shiney blue paint on the rear “wheel” drive gear.
And the shiney blue wheel nuts and stud threads.
And the shiney blue tensioner for the tracks….

The engine gets better. 1 mark deducted for not painting the battery blue though.

I want one, and my mrs wanted a van
That does look cheap if it’s not a complete shed
