I'd forgotten that that was no body was hurt in either incident. I wonder if the Merc would have got away with it if the van hadn't been there; I can't remember how far away the shop etc is but it might have spun and stopped.

I live about 5 minutes from there and that bit of road is properly dangerous in the wet, water just streams across the road. I'm surprised it doesn't happen more often.
